I think people are just mindlessly naming games they LIKE, rather than games that could be effectivly bocome films.
NONE
Because a Movie ruins the effect.
Game should be a game.
Come to think of it, I'd like to see tetris the movie.
Dude, they already have 6 Harry Potter movies.
I hope you don't reproduce.
World of Warcraft is being turned into a movie, directed by Sam Raimi or so I've heard.
World in Conflict as 1infiniteseed said, would be a great miniseries if done right.
I hope you don't reproduce.
That is like the ultimate insult.
HL1 and 2
Fallout would make a nice theme/world for a movie.
Personally I'd like to see a Splinter Cell movie, hell, it doesn't even have to be Sam Fisher! It'd so freaking awesome.... They could probably even make it a Horror movie.

I wonder what a Fable movie would look like!
STALKER
You'd have a movie, based on a game, based on another movie that's based on a book.
Just look at the shit they called "DooM"
My fuck was that a absolute garbage bin.
I would have to say, STALKER.
Follow the same storyline as CoS.
There actually is a film for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I can't remember its name, it may just be called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Although it was made some 30 years ago. it was based on a book (or the other way round) and the games based on them.
Why not? Before MS got it in the butt from Fox and Universal it looked to be the best game film by a wide margin. It was going to be District 9. The way D9 was made, was going to be the way Halo was made. Not the same story of course. But yeah.
If you shoot it that way theres a good chance you can make any of these good in my opinion
you could do several
Mass Effect- do the movie from the pov of a random Marine aboard the Normandy who doesnt fight with shepard but is dropped off for other reasons at the same locals. Would need a bit of re-writing but could work
Dragon Age Orgins- Point of view of a random Grey Warden whos presence is unknown to the game character but they end up meeting at different locations, hes a survivor of Ostegar also saved by Flemeth he sets out to find The Warden eventually finding them at the Landsmeet just as Alistar kills Logain. Never reveals to the others that he is also a Grey Warden witnesses the fight against the Archdemon. once again a bit of re-writing
Oblivion- on a much more massive scale 300 style battle scenes no pov on this one but doesnt really need to be re-writen
Fallout 3- same as Oblivion
Assassins Creed 2- Just thin out the fluff and leave out the taking 20 years to finally find the target just make him age into his mid 20s
I wish the Max Payne film was actually good instead of being full of supernatural artsy crap.
Game movies give video games a bad name.

That's kinda the point. A movie will be good if you make it good, and unlike other game movies Halo looked like it was going to be made to be good.
Even being a Halo fanboy I can assure you, if it had just looked like it was going to be shit I wouldn't be sad there was no movie, I would be thankful.

the movie stalker and the game dont really have anything to do with each other
partly because the movie was made 7 years before the chernobyl disaster

seriously. if they just took the script of max payne 2 and turned it into a movie, it would be incredible
Yeah, Stalker the movie was made first (based on the book The Roadside Picnic) and the movie eventually got the attention of the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. even though the game is supposedly nothing like the movie.
[editline]11:06AM[/editline]
I would like to see a movie for Shadow of the Colossus
Yeah, Stalker the movie was made first (based on the book The Roadside Picnic) and the movie eventually got the attention of the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. even though the game is supposedly nothing like the movie.
The movie is barely like the book, the game only has one thing in common with the movie and book: Throwing bolts.
That reminds me of the Guitar Hero and Sims movie they are working on.
They're working on a guitar hero movie? How the hell would they accomplish that.
none they always fail and suck maybe the dead space film will be good but...guitar hero and the sims?
they will not work
Yes it is a known fact all video game movies are shit. Silent Hill I think is the best one, but I'm not saying it's good.
You did in the Hitman thread.
i hope the bioshock movie will be good.
Adrian Brody was rumored, but then they cast that guy from Prison Break ;(
Half Life series but only if Valve actually directs it and gets the best actor and the best special effect.
maybe combine every mind in the movie industry with Valve and maybe you could make a decent movie
Concerned: The Movie
big rigs
Half life series and maybe portal?
I think that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. would make a good movie but ONLY if it were an indie film. Don't was GSC selling out.

It'd make a better Miniseries.
Half life series and maybe portal?
Portal won't work.
Team Fortress film!!
Would be fucking nice.
Portal won't work.
True.
Other characters would have to added. A movie of about 1 and a half hours/ 2 hours wouldnt work if only one character is speaking.
It'd make a better Miniseries.
That actually does sound better.
Why does everyone want to see "X, but as a movie" it seems. The best part about doing another medium is that it opens up so many different kinds of stories that would be tedious or impractical in say a game. It's a great oppertunity to expand upon the universe.
Ah well.
