The movie was pretty good, but does anyone else think the show was mediocre? Like I can't remember any of it but I could monologue like any of the old Spongebob episodes
The thing I remember was that Quentin Tarantino was somehow in this show.
While we are on the topic of seeing how shows have changed from their pilot, here is what eventually led into the Regular Show:
That is just a short cartoon by Quintel, it bears the same character designs and all but I wouldn't really call it the pilot for the show. There's this:
The only quotable moments that come to my mind are: Carl screaming "Can't you see that your constant fighting is tearing us apart?!" and fucking "slap slap slap clap clap clap"
Rubymania!!! "Llama-palooza" The episode with the duck parody and Jimmy's dad being actually adequate "UUUUH CARIBOU" and Ice age The fucking guy who could never finish Jet Fusion the james bond parody Valentine's day where Sheen tries to pick up Libby by putting her on a throne of his toys. Sentient pants and the parody on Hitchhock's "Birds" in that episode. I can think of a lot more that I remember, maybe your memory is just shit lol
I actually noticed that while it was still airing. I know I watched every episode but none of them stuck. I'm probably gunna do a re-watch soon because I've been watching a lot of old TV and it will be interesting how much of it I recall. [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] Pants. I vaguely remember something about sentient pants.
People probably remember the pants episode because it was included as an extra on the movie VHS.

I vaguely remember something about sentient pants.
I remember vividly an episode where Jimmy's spiky-haired friend could put his leg behind his neck and was elevated as an elder god because that was the mark of the chosen one or some shit Me and my sister would joke about that moment for years [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] I also remember the Fairly Oddparents / Jimmy Neutron crossover, that felt like a fever dream
The movie was pretty good, but does anyone else think the show was mediocre? Like I can't remember any of it but I could monologue like any of the old Spongebob episodes
I distinctly remember the episode where they go to a theme park at night, to investigate rumors of some ghost with a salami leg and they keep thinking they've found the ghost, only for it to turn out to be somebody in disguise. And the fucking pants episode, which for some reason, was the one they kept airing here. [editline]16th August 2017[/editline] That comment about the pants episode made me google it, and I stumbled upon this "gem" from the Wikia page [t]http://i.imgur.com/oqhj2D4.png[/t] Why? What drives these people?

"Well, it's either your salami leg, his salami leg, their salami leg, or Carl's shoes."
The movie was pretty good, but does anyone else think the show was mediocre?
all the cindy rule 34 i've seen
i have questions

There was never a boy like my Johnny. Like the one they call Johnny Quasar.
I kinda feel like if you're super into cartoons, you probably would have perverted tendencies too.
The lines above makes me think that the original models didn't have underwear and they updated the models around the time of that episode. But for why tho?
I remember a goofy joke they had where sheen asked jimmy why they didn't need helmets in space but as soon as jimmy started explaining the camera cut away to carl loudly singing
This was actually my introduction to lampshade hanging, once I understood the joke in Jimmy Neutron it opened me up to a lot of self-commentary in other media.
The lines above makes me think that the original models didn't have underwear and they updated the models around the time of that episode. But for why tho?
I'm pretty sure it was the first episode of the series after the pilots and the movie, so they updated a lot of models at that point.
I'm pretty sure it was the first episode of the series after the pilots and the movie, so they updated a lot of models at that point.
Haha I know I was more concerned why they even modeled it in the first place if was going to never been seen on screen, but I forgot we were talking about something that totally could've been cut out of the show. I could definitely see a board of execs at Nick saying "Yea you can show Carl naked for all we care but you can't show Cindy's underwear thats weird"
People probably remember the pants episode because it was included as an extra on the movie VHS.
It was the premiere
It was the premiere
That to. I remember watching it a few times after the movie on the VHS though.
Keep in mind Carl both had the hots for Jimmy's mom, and gave birth to an alien from his weird glowing swollen butt, so there's a good chance that the execs said exactly that. And I'm sure there was a lot more with him that I'm forgetting lol
I'm pretty sure it was the first episode of the series after the pilots and the movie, so they updated a lot of models at that point.
I remember watching the movie at some point after watching the series for a while. I forgot that Jimmy had shorts in the movie and pants in the show, that latter is so much better character design wise.
The movie was pretty good, but does anyone else think the show was mediocre? Like I can't remember any of it but I could monologue like any of the old Spongebob episodes
I distinctly remember Sheens dad was a Hispanic guy who fixed air conditioners and then jimmy made him Ultra Lord.
Don't forget the episode where Carl gets anally raped by an alien
Wasn't there a movie where they had to go fight chickens in outer space or something? It had a lot of great moments, although extremely bizarre.
The movie came first, the series was a spin-off of that. Yeah, their parents were abducted by egg people that offered their parents as sacrifice to a giant chicken monster. As I typed that, I just realized how ridiculous that premise was. BUT, it was nominated for an Academy Award in 2001. Of course, when your competition is Shrek and Monsters Inc, it didn't stand a chance.
The movie was pretty good, but does anyone else think the show was mediocre? Like I can't remember any of it but I could monologue like any of the old Spongebob episodes
I rewatched the movie recently and honestly it's garbage.
[sp]But he turn out to be a robot[/sp]
Sounds exactly like Tarantino to me.
The only episode I actually remember is the episode where Jimmy and Cindy switch bodies (I forget how exactly. Maybe something to do with a phone line and lightning) and they slowly start to act like each other.
I rewatched the movie recently and honestly it's garbage.
Ehh, even with hindsight, garbage might be a bit harsh. Its paper thin and ridiculous but Nickelodeon movies never tried to be high art in the first place. Not much there for adults, so it really appeals more to kids and nostalgia. If nothing else, the animation is a bit impressive for the time given that none of the software used was created in-house, unlike Pixar and Dreamworks and on such a small budget.
