As someone born, raised, and living in New Orleans, every image I see of this game makes me smile.
I love the story set-up, I guess I have to play the two other mafia games to get ready for this.

I wonder if they will beat Mafia 2's record of saying "fuck."
You don't. They all are separate.
not really. i'd suggest playing mafia 2 only because there's a direct connection in that the main protagonist of mafia 2 is a "major" character in mafia 3. plus mafia 1 has connections to mafia 2 with certain characters and character fates.
I honestly just want to play Mafia 1 and 2 because I never really did and I'm pretty sure I own both of them.
The only thing I'm worried about is the driving. It looks so much more arcade-y compared to Mafia 1 and 2.
Same here, especially after how much I loved the driving in Mafia 2. I loved it so much I changed it to the simulation version in the settings because it made it even more lifelike and difficult. I really hope they didn't change it as much as it seems, but regardless I'm 100% going to get this.
Does that mean vito is [sp] the only character that is in mafia 1,2 and 3 and has anyone saw him in this trailer? I know he was in the first trailer [/sp]
Pretty sure they had three voice actors confirmed, so that would be three returnees unless there's a flashback sequence or something like that. Game looks pretty damn fine.
Shit it looks good

Damn this looks amazing I hope they don't gut it like they did Mafia II, the world felt so empty despite the story being so good
Tbh it looks more GTA than Mafia.
Reminds me of the punisher for some reason
That's because the setups are relatively the same. Guy comes back from Vietnam. Mafia kills his family. Guy takes revenge on Mafia. On a grander scale, the game almost looks like a sequel/re imagining of the Punisher game from 2005. Look at them executions, the violence, this game is Punisher 2016.
I'm really digging the gameplay and the aesthetics, yes it's different from Mafia 2, but it still looks solid. Now, i just hope the tommygun in the preorder bonus is actually a variation of the standard tommy (and it probably is because it's a hybrid between the military tommy and the gangster tommy), because locking such an iconic gun behind the preorder would be like that shit Bethesda pulled when they locked the sawed off shotgun in RAGE
I like how he got that Travis Bickle look on him. The only flaw i dislike is the pre order bonus, PLEASE PLLEASE PLEASE DONT LIMIT THE TOMMY GUN
I have been a huge fan of 1 Mafia and was a bit disappointed with the ending of 2 Mafia. At first I didn't like the 1 trailer for Mafia 3, but after this one it actually doesn't all that bad. Mafia 1 is one of my favourite gangster drama I've ever seen with the most satisfying ending. Mafia 2 though closer to the end felt really rushed and the end just didn't live up to the original. There was a story that the lead writer left the studio 1.5 year before mafia 2 release day and you can tell it in the game.
I like how he got that Travis Bickle look on him. Not that it's a bad thing, but the game looks a lot like a new GTA set in the 70th or something.
Tommy Gun as a pre-order bonus seems perfectly fine, since it would be kinda out of place if it was just a regular gun that you saw around.
I still dont like the whole "pre order to access cut content" scene. If its not a common gun, why not make it a rare weapon to stumble upon instead of paying extra?

No developer wants to just disagree with a retailer on that and lose a bunch of sales.
