Nah, there's more imo. Music experiences is more than just emotions. Imagination can't be explained scientifically.
What does that have to do with deities or gods? Just because you can't put something into words doesn't mean it's divine.
What does that have to do with deities or gods? Just because you can't put something into words doesn't mean it's divine.
I didn't say it was a deity. I said it's all in the mind. Brain is god is basically what I mean. :v:
I didn't say it was a deity. I said it's all in the mind. Brain is god is basically what I mean. :v:
Except that it's not by the very definition of a god. It's a brain.
Nah, there's more imo. Music experiences is more than just emotions. Imagination can't be explained scientifically.
. . .Yes it can? The mind takes in data and tries to correlate and interpret it? How is that mysterious? All imagination is is taking everything you've seen and piecing it together in odd and different ways. That's it.
When it's me, only I define what I want to define. But you're probably right.. For now I'll call it God.
I didn't say it was a deity. I said it's all in the mind. Brain is god is basically what I mean. :v:
So. . . You're god? I mean you are your brain, and if brains are Gods, then logically that would make you a God, right?
Could someone clarify what the belief system of Atheism is?
There shouldn't really be any, it is a simple disbelief and shouldn't be a belief.
. . .Yes it can? The mind takes in data and tries to correlate and interpret it? How is that mysterious? All imagination is is taking everything you've seen and piecing it together in odd and different ways. That's it.
Oh I didn't realise life was so simple. :downs:
So. . . You're god? I mean you are your brain, and if brains are Gods, then logically that would make you a God, right?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanism
When it's me, only I define what I want to define. But you're probably right.. For now I'll call it God.
I don't even know what the hell you're talking about. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
Oh I didn't realise life was so simple. :downs:
What, am I mistaken? What did I miss there?
So. . . You're god? I mean you are your brain, and if brains are Gods, then logically that would make you a God, right?
Well I don't want followers, but yeah.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanism
Humanism doesn't have anything to do with the brain being a deity. I can't even figure out what the fuck that means. The brain is a God? Does that make the spine an angel?
When it's me, only I define what I want to define. But you're probably right.. For now I'll call it God.
Except for the fact that words actually do have definitions. It'd be like if I called my apple a chair or my computer mouse a coffee table.
Well I don't want followers, but yeah. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline] Well I don't want followers, but yeah.
Okay, so you're God. What exactly constitutes God under your definition of the term? [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
Except for the fact that words actually do have definitions. It'd be like if I called my apple a chair or my computer mouse a coffee table.
Don't be such an African Swallow.
Nah, there's more imo. Music experiences is more than just emotions. Imagination can't be explained scientifically.
They aren't (or maybe, but nothing unexplainable). It can.
What, am I mistaken? What did I miss there?
Yeah you mistake a lot. I take science into account like you wouldn't believe. However lack of knowledge about creativity and ways of thinking cause me to imagine.
Is there a name for a complete lack of belief in anything.
Yeah you mistake a lot. I take science into account like you wouldn't believe. However lack of knowledge about creativity and ways of thinking cause me to imagine.
Yet you called your brain god?
Yeah you mistake a lot. I take science into account like you wouldn't believe. However lack of knowledge about creativity and ways of thinking cause me to imagine.
Oh, so this is just ideas rather than what you believe to be true.
Is there a name for a complete lack of belief in anything.
Anything spiritual, or just anything?
They aren't (or maybe, but nothing unexplainable). It can.
Okay. Go ahead. Why do I feel as though I was in another world while listening to Pink Floyd's Meddle album? :smugdog:
Anything spiritual, or just anything?
No belief in anything at all.
No belief in anything at all.
That's just stupid.
Yeah you mistake a lot. I take science into account like you wouldn't believe. However lack of knowledge about creativity and ways of thinking cause me to imagine.
What exactly did I "mistake"? No I really wouldn't believe you're taking science into account, considering you've already discarded the dictionary. So you come up with a lot of ideas when you don't know what the truth is? Yeah? So? What bearing does that have on the conversation? When I'm ignorant I can make up a lot of shit too. So can any good liar. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
No belief in anything at all.
Nihilism.
Okay. Go ahead. Why do I feel as though I was in another world while listening to Pink Floyd's Meddle album? :smugdog:
"Why do I feel like God was speaking to me yesterday?" "Why it's paranoid schizophrenia."
What exactly constitutes God under your definition of the term?
In my personal opinion. God is existence. I'm not ready to go into depth because I'm not arsed to, but you get my point. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
"Why do I feel like God was speaking to me yesterday?" "Why it's paranoid schizophrenia."
I'm not talking about psychosis, I'm talking about music.
Okay. Go ahead. Why do I feel as though I was in another world while listening to Pink Floyd's Meddle album? :smugdog:
Because it caused an emotional reaction coupled with you feeling the music as changing your senses. It probably means you have synaesthesia (one senses can affect your others in strange ways). Many musicians have it.
Okay. Go ahead. Why do I feel as though I was in another world while listening to Pink Floyd's Meddle album? :smugdog:
. . .Because it's a trippy album? And that's what trippy albums make you feel like?
In my personal opinion. God is existence. I'm not ready to go into depth because I'm not arsed to, but you get my point. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline] I'm not talking about psychosis, I'm talking about music.
I get you, you God is the feeling of existence.
Because it caused an emotional reaction coupled with you feeling the music as changing your senses. It probably means you have synaesthesia (one senses can affect your others in strange ways). Many musicians have it.
Not really. Synesthetes experience senses blending together, the music would taste like lemons, or smell like curry, or look blue or something to that effect.
