I was ignoring the stupidity of your comment but I guess I'll address it. There is physics backing up both sides, E.G. EVIDENCE. It's not biased to one side of the argument moreso than the other. The fact that you are arguing 'Herp derp my argument is like the laws of gravity, infallible' is what I was criticizing.
There is no scientific evidence provided by the conspiracy theorists that hasn't be debunked many, many times by qualified people using scientific evidence. Also, the main body of Truthers said they had 'shocking new evidence' a few weeks ago. Strange how they never came out with any, isn't it? Oh oh right, Obama Secret Police censoring them, I forgot.
My personal opinion is everyone in the U.S. is starting to get fed up with the bullshit we've dealt with in our government and this is just one aspect of that bubbling to the surface.
That's just empty populist rhetoric. Are you talking about the economic crisis?
My personal opinion is everyone in the U.S. is starting to get fed up with the bullshit we've dealt with in our government and this is just one aspect of that bubbling to the surface.
You do realise the average age of a Facepunch user is 14, right? There is a reason the great Greek philosophers were above the age of 14.
Something interesting to note is that the OP is getting a lot more agreement than he would have on FP 2 years ago. I wonder why FPers are more likely to accept conspiracy theories (at least ones about 9/11). Maybe because there's more young users now, who weren't around when these conspiracy theories were being spread and debunked a lot more?
What do you guys think?
It kind of blows my mind that a lot of the posters on here aren't old enough to remember 9/11 :psyduck:
I'm convinced terrorists did 9/11 and my proof is that it isn't exposed on WikiLeaks and that the US can't even contain the collateral damage video, let alone cover something up.
This man has a good point. Listen to him. If the government can't control secret military documents, how can they keep mass murder hidden?
It kind of blows my mind that a lot of the posters on here aren't old enough to remember 9/11 :psyduck:
It makes me ill thinking about it.
It kind of blows my mind that a lot of the posters on here aren't old enough to remember 9/11 :psyduck:
It scares me that my cousins are old enough to carry out a conversation with about 9/11 even though they were only a year old when it happened.
I'm just a young person who feels their duty is to call out injustices and shed light on the crap our government wants to keep in the dark.
aw shit
So the government can use thousands of people to be silent, cover their trails over 9/11, and never blow the whistle, but can't keep military documents from leaking to the internet (without even knowing who did it)?
Bull
Shit.
To the people talking about the wikileaks thing. I never thought about that. There's no way we could cover up a huge attack like 9/11 but let so much shit get leaked.
To the people talking about the wikileaks thing. I never thought about that. There's no way we could cover up a huge attack like 9/11 but let so much shit get leaked.
That's because 80% of the facts from wikileaks are inaccurate.
once you think about it, it kinda doesnt matter who did it because the fact that some one did shows how messed up the world is and how it needs to be fixed
That's because 80% of the facts from wikileaks are inaccurate and false.
Did you make that up? It sounds like you made that up.

this makes me think if it was possible if somehow they did it with like only 5 people or the people that did speak out got silenced because so far only 1 person from the government said that 9/11 was planned
this makes me think if it was possible if somehow they did it with like only 5 people or the people that did speak out got silenced because so far only 1 person from the government said that 9/11 was planned
But I never had an argument, I never said 9/11 was an inside job or that truthers are stupid, I never said any real opinion of my own but you guess that i am.
hostility is a sign of stupidity
Did you make that up? It sounds like you made that up.
Well, the false part I did make up.
Cudos for noticing, but wikileaks is terribly missguiding.
Most of their documents are released United States Congressional Research Service documents*1.
But they still leave out the information which are quasi-secret*2.
Members of Congress are free to selectively release CRS reports to the public but are only motivated to do so when they feel the results would assist them politically. Universally embarrassing reports are kept quiet.
And when someone open up a topic about a sealed document, they get shut down by people like Ted Stevens (R-Alaska)*3.
*1; Reports about important stuff.
*2; Reports that are known only by congress members, Congressional committees and select sister agencies such as the GAO. (Aka not open to public)
*3; Members of Congress, who sees CRS as an extension of their staff.
Well, the false part I did make up.
What about the 80% part? Did you make that up too?
What about the 80% part? Did you make that up too?
Nope.
Nope.
What's your source for that statistic?

Read the page stating where and how they get their information.
I don't see it. Why don't you link to it directly?

TH, you have just earned my respect back.

so remember that whenever you are arguing with someone on fp you are arguing with a kid

No, seriously though. I don't think that us kids care wether we're talking to people +/- our own age.

I don't remember them leaking anything (Edit: substantial) about 9/11. Links please?
