He spent the next 5-10 mins screaming at me about how I was an idiot with no control (friend of mine too).

Man this thread has got me in the mood to get to the slopes.
I hate the "pizza". It's too tiring on legs, especially kids legs, to hold that position all down the mountain and maintain a steady speed. After one trip down and feeling like my legs were about to fall off, I said "screw it" and started doing it how it felt comfortable, basically angle my skis, parallel, to the left or right, It's probably worse for my body in the long term, but I only go skiing once every 5 years so who cares.
edit: Apparently, it is called a parallel turn, and it's how you are meant to ski. Makes sense, since it was more comfortable, I was able to stop quicker, and control myself much better than using the pizza.
kids suck at everything
Sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something.
Out in Wisconsin I know some people call it a Cheese Wedge. I was really confused when I saw something similar to this happening and the kid's parents were shouting about it. They were also wearing Green Bay colored coats and stuff, so it kind of makes sense I guess.
I bombed moguls at Cascade when I was six and survived
i am immortal
when i ski my snow boots are always too tight so i never have a great time ):

The guy actually died.
When I went skiing on a school trip for a week, I once flew off of a ramp at full speed, even though we weren't supposed to, fell flat on my face, using my nose to slow down and when I stopped and took off my goggles I just started laughing hysterically.
Everyone probably thought I was crazy but In my mind I was like "That shit must have looked hilarious".

Strangely enough, hysterical laughter is often my reaction to falling on the ski as well.
