people see a lot of this as still being anonymous. I've known several idiots who troll it up on facebook because they know they'll never actually run into the other person in real life (usually)
On facebook? Really? Wow, That's a downer.
On facebook? Really? Wow, That's a downer.
I'd screenshot the latest idiot I ran into like this, but I promptly removed the common friend because she too was a complete idiot.
Just so you know, not every fan of mlp is like this. You should tell your friend to stop pushing the show.
Well, Its good to see only a few people took this the wrong way, and if your one of the people who did I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to insult anyone. Thank you Keyblockor for trying to help me with this situation, but I can only see this getting worse as things go on. People who say this fad will die, you don't know my friends. They don't usually get into fads, well one of them does but this is the most of a response I've ever seen, and they've been trying to "convert" some of my other non internet friends, what's worse is I think it's working. Add that to the small population of my school and the results are very bad. Also one of my friends admitted to putting pictures all over the teachers guitar but still declines having anything to do with the other pictures.
I hate when people force the show onto others. The only response you will get from that is resistance and hate against the show, of which you are now a prime example of. I think those that try to force the show onto others are really doing the show and its fanbase a big disservice and should really cut it out.
People like different things, and sometimes they take things too far. Best thing to do is to let it to be and let time to flow you forwards in your life.
Half of the staff at my work are crazed with Lady Gaga and listen to it wiht their earbuds so hard it's easily heard. Trust me, you learn to live with that kind of stuff. As long as they don't push you into a corner and threaten you with a knife there is nothing to complain about.
This is why I stopped getting involved in the show. The obsession is getting really out of hand.
Just roll with it they'll realize how pants on head retarded they're being soon enough.
I think it's the fact that people hate it so much it makes pushing it onto them enjoyable considering it's a show about trying to be friends with everyone it's really trolling but is passed off as just being the message of the show. That being said I don't tell anyone they should watch it but I do see a lot of people go threw the pony thread. You compared listening to popular music at work to forcing a children's TV show on other late teens/adults. There is something to complain about especially when he's essentially being strong-armed by his friends to watch this.

This fad somehow feels different than the others by the fact that ALOT more people succumb to it, and to be honest, it's quite frightening how fast this thing is spreading everywhere.
I wonder if there'll be a study on it. I agree, it feels different than other fads. It's both frightening and fascinating.
This fad somehow feels different than the others by the fact that ALOT more people succumb to it, and to be honest, it's quite frightening how fast this thing is spreading everywhere.
Especially how the show is aimed for young girls aged 8 and under.

I understand that somebody might enjoy the show and might want somebody else to give it a try, but anybody who goes any further than just asking them to watch it is a fucktard. It makes us fans of the show seem insecure.

I've gotten three people to watch it so far, but not by being a fucktard and going "You're going to watch this and there's nothing you can do about it." [sp]Ok, I have but it was in a satirical sense[/sp] As with an sort of fandom, if you just explain things in a smart and calm manner, people are going to be more open to trying it than if you shove it down their throats. Though in all honesty, what do you have to lose from watching it? Considering that a lot of "adult" shows consist of things like Jersey Shore and whatnot, I'll take my chance with the magical, talking ponies. :v:
I enjoy the show. It gives me a wierd nostalgic feeling about Power Puff girls. But fuck no, I'm not crazy about it. I wouldn't even draw a pony if you paid me to, it's only a damn SHOW.
