Thanks for the share.
"But even though it's a really hard push to get it in, over 20,000 people make this mistake every year!" :sex101:
At the point of sounding like an asshole but How dumb do you have to be to not notice the hose still in your car? Or even bother to look? It seems like a fairly obvious thing to notice.
I can see it happening if the fuel port is on the passenger side of the car and you never had to cross around the car to get to the interior of the station and back.
This almost happened to me, apparently people in Oregon are too daft to fill up their own vehicles so someone has to do it for you. Fucking hate that law.
That law is actually in place to provide more jobs. Strange law, yes, but it's not because people are stupid.
if you're a literal retard it is.
Quit being such a prick. My family atm has two cars, one is diesel and one is fuel, hopefully none of us has mistaken anything yet but I can see it from a mile afar why it can happen, especially if in a hurry or under external stress.

I forget to close it and a few miles down the road I realize the metal cover is still out and my gas cap is long gone
That law is actually in place to provide more jobs. Strange law, yes, but it's not because people are stupid.
That seems like a stupid reason to have such a law. What are they going to do when EVs go mainstream over the next few decades? Will I not be able to plug my own car in so that it creates jobs? I'm all for making more jobs but what's the point of a minimum wage dead end job that gives you no useful experience to move forwards? Get rid of the law and increase tax on fuel to make up however much these people cost. Use the income from that tax increase to create meaningful infrastructure projects that will incorporate low skilled workers and train them up.
