Though you're clearly uneducated on the reality of electronic music, I'm not even going to try to explain to you the intricacy of live performance and the finesse of producers that do so.

For the rest of us, music isn't about watching some dudes dance around on stage with some fancy looking guitars and shiny drum sets. For people who really do enjoy music for what it is, it's about letting the sound overcome you and entrance you. For electronic music, it's about intense bass and driving rhythm. It has a significant neurological effect on the brain, and induces strong sensual reactions that are impossible to explain. The combination of some really great electronic music and a beautiful light show in unison is indescribable, and is an experience you can't have at home with your headphones. So honestly, I don't give a shit what the guy on stage is doing, because you usually can't see him anyway. The important part is that his music is overcoming me with powerful emotions, and everyone in the room is all at once experiencing a strange kind of synchronous apathy of the outside world. The experience is like sex. It's better than sex.
