Yeah, I tried lighter colors, but it just didn't look as good. I am going to experiment some more on the color and if I find good looking lighter color scheme they will be changed.

I fixed it, I did see it at first, but my machine was hopelessly pushing at itself while completely purging ArmA 2 and OA from itself and then re-installing them both. The save menu wouldn't even appear, and when I did find the time to make a move I guess I didn't see it and forgot about it.
I was out for a week, will declare once I have a coffee.
I think it's also worth noting that, as great a concept as it was, having separate solar systems really demotivates people from interacting with each other.
