The Kyurth'zan code states that they may not attack severely weaker beings, unless they are robotics, with which an honorous battle can never be had, or unless they attack first.
The code also states that a battle must always be finished, lest the captains want to be sent to the forsaken worlds.
In your case, even though there was a misunderstanding concerning your identity, be it Robotic or Organic, the code does not allow for the battle to end.
Also, even though they follow their own code of honour, they have no qualms with [i]exterminating[/i] foes.

After an (extremely) long time, the portal like energy ball spits out a ship, dubbed "Hammer Head", because of its unique weapons head extension. It has a total of 6 turrets, which can auto target, and 3 large frontal ion beam emitters, which do extreme damage against metal. The portal seems to be getting larger as well.
