The Imperial fleet sends in its fast attack ships first. These ships are designed to fire while at high velocity. It is made to dodge enemy shots rather than take them directly.

It's a better setup than the single solar system by far. You can't abandon something after one try, you have to tweak it. The constraints set in place made it an unlikable layout, not the galaxy map itself. Had their not been so many constraints it would have been a lot better.

The fast attack frigates regroup and come about at steady speed, firing shots at the largest ship targetted.
The Inquisitor Supercruiser fires its primary plasma cannon at the installment, causing a plasma discharge explosion, and lots of high intensity burn/vaporization damage.

Nyat's ice field is quite versatile...
It was in fact a catalyst for something that can manipulate gravity. The first firing of the beam made the end of the ice tail explode outward, and the further the shards of the ice tail get from the beam point, the stronger the pull.
There is no response to the emissary ship, and the radiation coming off of the planet has faded, leaving only stray atoms bursting about in small pockets around the system.

The field has also caused a horrid distortion in the red fleet's portal, making the link between Krarkos and whatever system the portal was linked to jump around through billions of distant destinations. They'll have to conjure a new one when they're ready to jump.
