Shaun is one of the best YTer's of this sort I've come across in a long time, shame I feel like he's trying to fend off an apocalyptic tidal wave of bullshit with a kiddies beach spade.
Whats the point of this needless callout? You can not like someone and still recognized when they're being harrassed. Even then what does this have to do with Vodkavia's like or dislike of the alt-right?
That depends on what what Vodkavia would say if someone was harassing for instance Richard Spencer or sargon.
The main problem is how easy it is to find yourself entirely isolated from any other viewpoint by viewing skeptics videos. Youtube won't readily link you to reply videos about their claims, it'll just link you to more skeptic videos. Ironically enough this creates a community of people who believe the word of skeptics blindly.

I thought that was pretty funny. The day after that tweet Phillips was on TV talking about how the internet was making threats against her. Which was basically her falling for exactly the obvious trap no person with an ounce of decency would fall in to.
I'm not gonna say it was a master class of Moriarty tier social manipulation, but i found it hilarious.

Most post their sources, so i'd say "blindly" is a bit of a misnomer.
A better question is what the fuck is your stake in this? Your only "arguments" have been to moan that the video didn't criticize the people enough who don't peddle racism and misinformation for a living... because? and that Sargon sending porn to people is somehow better because he sent it to alt righters and that somehow magically is supposed to put me in a bind because I don't like them too?

My take on this is that while youtube skeptic community is toxic (and I really hate some of them, like theamazingatheist) their opposition also does the things that this video makes fun of.
And that saying that sargon was harassing people with gay porn isn't showing the entire picture. And no it doesn't make it "better" just more accurate.
I'm on the phone right now and your pic isn't showing but I'm just gonna assume it's something terrible that sargon said. You know that I don't have to agree with everything that someone said or even like them to point out that you are misrepresenting what he did a bit, right?
Eh, I enjoyed armoredskeptic a few years ago back when he mostly focused on obvious religious nutjobs and overt conspiracy theorists, but the content has declined significantly in recent times and has basically become a reactionary mess. I unsubbed a while back.
More like if a christian was making fun of muslims because they pick and chose what they want to follow from their book.
I like how because this video, made by someone with a whole 136 subscribers and a grand total of no other videos, is critical specifically of youtube 'sceptics' you've instantly assumed they are a part of a 'side' and that they have no criticisms of anyone else.
I never quite understood the size of the 'skeptic' or 'SJW' communities, whether it be left- or right-wing ideologues. I find them to be false dichotomies as they use the same tactics, talk about the same petty things, and appeal to the same sort of people (only slightly different stances, but I wander how many of them can actually give ten thoroughly construed arguments as to why should you pick one side over the other).
I keep listening to it though, mostly it's all very cringe-worthy and infuriating, and although I don't like it one bit, I think it can provide a good representation of what many people believe (hence the many subscribers). Sadly, I don't easily find many politically nuanced channels on YouTube, often they are so small that they are left in obscurity.

I don't know how well liked it is, but I've always liked the idea of the Seriously Wrong podcast / YouTube channel.
Basically these two dudes discuss various ideas, but with the interesting twist where one has to strongly argue for the idea, while the other has to argue against it (regardless of their personal stances)
I like how they show the nuances and different sides of issues.

Yes and if there was a video that'd put all youtube feminists into one bag and make fun of them I'd assume it was made by a "youtube skeptic".

He's slowly getting back to it. And he should stick with it.
I think Thunderf00t is kinda alright since he makes a lot of videos about science and not just anti-SJW shit.
Look, these guys may spread an exuberant amount about hatred and misinformation and have noticeable influence, but an SJW once called me an asshole so they're practically the same!
Glad I took a nuanced and balanced centrist approach and showed just how moderate I am!

I don't know, he too makes a lot of assumptions sometimes when he thinks he knows stuff, but really doesn't. (e.g. his massively misinformed hyperloop video)
I don't enjoy people making smug dismissal videos when they've not bothered to read up on the subject in the slightest.

They're both full of shit and only care about being validated.

That's armored skeptic, thunderfoot, sargon and theamazingathiest, so no it's not just a case of two bad apples since they're all buddy-buddy. (They're pretty open about associating with each other I just chose this because its cringe as fuck) The whole fucking orchard is rot.
To be fair to Thunderf00t, there was some drama about two months ago where he 'left the sceptic community'.
His YouTube comment quality seems to have taken a leap since he alienated the nutjob subscribers in the process of that.
I just checked his channel and he may now have the worst clickbait thumbnails of all of them, though :v:

I doubt he would be finding it very funny if people were discussing whether they'd rape his son or not.
"An ounce of decency" jesus christ.

It's not really necessary or engaging content though, at least in my opinion.
Most conspiracies, and young earth creationism especially can be pretty handily debunked by a clever 6th grader with the internet. It's why a lot of the "skeptic" channels here started off as atheist channels, they ran out of interesting things to say so they started making different content.
god i find the weird avatars they use so fucking cringe
Most post their sources, so i'd say "blindly" is a bit of a misnomer.
This doesn't even go against his argument because they only post sources that support their claims.
Why would you expect an opposing viewpoint from sources that the author chose to support his/her argument.
Besides, the sources they use mean whatever they want them to mean. Even if they're contradictory to their claims.
#cnnblackmail donald trump vs the liberal elite from sargon of akkad brazenly takes a cnn article, turns its facts 180°, and then presents it as a lie for example.
Don't forget the "I'm a classical liberal" line

classical liberalism is one of the major foundations of modern society so saying "but i'm a classical liberal" is basically like saying "well at least i believe that individuals should have basic civil liberties" which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but classical liberalism doesn't touch any modern liberal ideals so you can still be a classical liberal and very racist/nationalist/etc

It's like thinking you're some enlightened individual just cause your avatar is some classic sculpture or a guy in fancy 1800s attire

It's a shame it had to reach the point that it did. He's always been critical of their narrative, even if he never shuts up about Anita Sarkeesian and atheism+. Most of his fans seemed to hate the skeptics that hung around Thunderf00t and the people they brought to his channel, too. It shouldn't have taken some bad jokes made in poor taste for him to reach the conclusion that these are bad people.

The point isn't to describe what one is, but what one is not. Anti-SJWs always need some kind of arbitrary label to distance themselves from SJWs and anyone else they don't want to be associated with.
