So this is how South Korea plans to retaliate against North Korea.
I thought PSY would be a one hit wonder, but I really like this song too.
Catchy me like
Man, that girl is lovely as fuck.
That beat is fabulous
Why doesn't Kim Jung Un hurry up and get brain damage and become like this?
and then North Korea's entire army just drop their guns and start dancing into South Korea
"Matto-fatto gentoo-man" is all I can hear when that part comes up.
Psy seems like he would be fun to hang with.
I hope PSY gets to do more work that he's excited about. I remember when he said Gangnam Style was pissing him off since it was so popular, I felt bad for him and was keeping my fingers crossed he wouldn't be pigeonholed into being a one-hit wonder.
If he can continue pushing out good songs like this, while still have fun doing it, I'll be glad to hear his work.

Also the official lyrics have it as "Mother Father Gentleman"
[sp]of course it's done on purpose :v [/sp]
Incredible.
Oh god, that treadmill scene.
ehh
Damn Korean girls are fine. I'd move there if it weren't for the crazy neighbors :v:
what's with those dumb pants?
They're drop crotch pants. South Korean fashion is a bit different than Western fashion, though it's starting to catch on a bit in the states (see SuperFuture's WAYWT thread).
only 301 views?
dem Korean ladies are pretty hot.

This part. i could watch this part on a loop for a long time.
PSY continues to be a cool dude in videos and make better pop music than the rest of the world
Some of those sunglasses look terrible though
It always sounds like he has legit fun making his music, which I like. And this isn't bad at all, I just hope it isn't ruined by becoming a trend.
Time to pray that an onslaught of parodies doesn't kill this one.
I never understood this reasoning
"oh no people are making parodies, it's ruined"
are you physically unable to not watch them, or is it their mere existence that "ruins" the original song for you?
I feel no regret in saying I like PSY's music, and being introduced by Gangnam Style.

People will watch the parodies constantly in hopes of finding something funny, which brings in more people to do the same, which ultimately means listening to the song so much that the entire populace of listeners gets burnt out on it.
I can't get over his strange pants.
I'm curious, why do you all think it's a good song?
I've never been the biggest music fan in the world, and what I do listen to I listen to for lyrics, emotions, or concentration, none of which I have found in Psy's songs, which is why I am genuinely wondering.

I wouldn't really say that this is 'good' in terms of lyrics or any of that stuff. It's just a catchy song to listen to.
The video is pretty funny and well-made, too. It looks like they're having a lot of fun making it. It's hard for me not to get behind someone like Psy when he seems to have fun and genuinely enjoy producing things, which is more than I can say for some other pop artists.

Because people find the combination of notes and sounds that Psy used to create his song to be catchy?

Pop music doesn't fall into any of those categories, really. It's more of a "comfort food" of the musical genre: no nutritional value, just there to make you feel good. Psy has a knack for catchy rhythms, which is a necessity in pop music.
i genuinely got hooked on this song, the beat is just omg

Not every song has to have deep and meaningful lyrics.

So people can't like a song because they fear everybody might get sick of it in the future? What is this, Minority Report?
