So people can't like a song because they fear everybody might get sick of it in the future? What is this, Minority Report?
When did I say that? I like the song, everyone does. I'm saying, however, a trend like parodies has a chance to increase the popularity of the song to the point of giving it a short shelf-life. See any past trends: Harlem Shake parodies, Gangnam Style parodies, you saw how quickly that shit got old.
I'm curious, why do you all think it's a good song?
I've never been the biggest music fan in the world, and what I do listen to I listen to for lyrics, emotions, or concentration, none of which I have found in Psy's songs, which is why I am genuinely wondering.
The first thing I look for in a song isn't the lyrics or emotion or an deeper intellectual element. It's just whether the actual sounds are pleasant to listen to for whatever reason.
for a pop artist psy is a damn good one
WEST SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE

why do you think kpop is popular? :v:
About halfway through I realized he's singing English at points :v:
What I liked: very funny, catchy
What I don't like: exactly the same formula as Gangnam style; He will never be as popular as he was with Gangnam style (which is sad to me).
I actually like this. And the video is quite funny as well.
Oh yeah, buttdancing girls with hair swinging is neat.
you gotta love the girls Psy gets on his music videos

ummm gangnam style wasn't his first video/song to have a catchy beat/silly music video.
[editline]13th April 2013[/editline]
and now he's got even more celebrity cameos.
yoo jae-seok (yellow suit), ha ha (blue suit), jeong hyeong-don (guy who grabs ladies hand and then pulls her aside in restaurant), jeong jun-ha (fat one of the duo above psy), park myeong-su (skinny one of the duo above psy), ga in (brown eyed girls/butt dance)
Hey there
Your head, waist, legs, calves
Good! Feeling feeling? Good! It's soft
I'll make you gasp and I'll make you scream
Damn! Girl! I'm a party mafia!
Not a fan of the music. I'd definitely watch random videos he'd make, though. The video itself was just silly, in a good way.
Jesus, almost 11 million views in 24 hours.
Song's pretty shitty, but the video's pretty funny
the beat is raw as fuck holy shit
[editline]14th April 2013[/editline]
the guy with the stool on his head is my favorite
I keep thinking he's saying "WEST SIIIIIDE" and it makes it a million times more awesome.
While at his final "Gangnam Style" concert in New York, he gave my sister a jumping high-five on his way onstage. So yeah, he's a pretty cool dude.
Wans't expecting much after Gangnam Style, but the video is okay and it's pretty funny also the music isn't bad
i usually love synthpop, but this song was really meh
I wasn't expecting much, but I almost like it as much as Gangnam style. It's just an overall funnier video with a great beat. I wouldn't listen to it without the video though, that adds so much.
What is he actually saying in the chorus? A what gentleman?
Also the bit at the end is hilarious.
Mother-Father gentleman, it's a common euphemism
Pretty sweet video! Not as magical as watching Gangnam Style the first time, but it'll do
I love his videos, I can't help but laugh, just something about how its put together and his facial expressions

anyone else see this?
Well gangman was very successful, it makes sense he wants to continue the success.
More like he wants to keep having fun
what part of this is funny. it's so formulaic.
[editline]15th April 2013[/editline]
both the music and the video
I really like his music videos, the songs themselves are pretty good but I just love the videos and watching the behind the scenes to see how much fun they had making it.
Need gif of 0:53 - 0:55.
The girls shaking their hips with their hair swinging are the best parts. You also have to admit he does great with how he goes all out for his videos.
I actually watched the YouTube live stream of the PSY concert this weekend and WOW! I didn't realize how much of an actual musician he really is. I mean songs like Gangnam Style Gentleman are just catchy pop songs that happen to be the international hits, but his other music is genuine and he has a great live singing voice.
On a side note, 2ne1 and G-Dragon were absolute shite at the concert. PSY should have called in SNSD if he wanted some other Korean Pop music at his show! IMO!
