Fun fact, did you know youtube was started by a 14 year old and he sold it to a corporation that I cannot remember the name of for millions? Well now google has youtube and they use any form of advertisement possible for profit. But look on the bright side, at least it isn't pay to watch.... Yet. =/

this is the 1st vid that I have seen doing this, and i have watched vids before this one today. is youtube going to turn into hulu? that would suck :smith: link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cq5zHP1Ck0&feature=PlayList&p=2A495FEAC8080F3F&index=33
stop using youtube.
Youtube is selling other people's videos for their own profit? Do the creators of the sold videos get any profit at all?
haha no. you sign away your soul when you click through the TOS to upload a video.
Remember this? [editline]01:18PM[/editline] He's probably a brat now
$2? Hmm, considering that at least a million people visit Youtube each day, that's a lot of bandwidth. You know, what says the money won't go towards things like....I don't know, paying for the bandwidth? There's also that thing called paying royalties. It's not free either. Possibly google needs more funds to keep the lights on and the water running? Google has been nice to us so far (what with offering us things like gmail for free as opposed to you Mr. Microsoft and your premium hotmail/live mail/whatever the hell it is called now). I don't think they would cock something up like youtube this badly unless they had a plan. And if they don't, I still got Video Download Helper.
As a side note, anyone find it funny that Youtube censors bad stuff when they have ads for movies that are rated R? They're even uploading rated R stuff. I mean, come on, what a bunch of hypocrites.
I heard they were developing TheVideoBay, so all's good.
I heard they were developing TheVideoBay, so all's good.
That was years ago. [editline]07:35PM[/editline]
YOUTUBE NOW HAS ADS BEFORE VIDEOS? I have no idea what's going on, I've never seen a single ad on YouTube.
Well, I don't know if this has been a recent addition to YouTube, but I just noticed that YouTube has a pay to download option for videos. Is this new, or am I just late? Discuss.
2 dollars for a 2 minute video? That's a worse rate than most texting rates!
That was years ago.
Yeah, but they're still working on it, as far as I know.
Yeah, but they're still working on it, as far as I know.
And most likely will work on forever.
Greasemonkey with Yousabletube Fix. Easiest way to download videos IMHO.
Doesn't work for me, the ones with the new buttons (lights out, player sizing) doesn't show the firefox or that script. The script doesn't even work for me.
Yeah, well YouTube is trying to crackdown on those types of programs/sites.
If they do and Anon hears anything about it, Youtube will be uber-spammed with re-uploads of videos that can be purchased that will have DL links in the description. [editline]10:33AM[/editline] Why do they remove legitimate videos and mute videos that aren't doing anything wrong when they let shit like this stay up?
