Dslyecxi (the founder of ShackTac) has said that they movements indoors are about 10 times better than arma 2. So I'm optimistic.
Is he part of an alpha?

helloooo being able to only watch videos of this game
I, for one, hate DayZ, and just want to play normal Arma.
This. I got really excited about it seeing how worked up everyone got over it, then when I played it, it was just way too much of a hassle for me to play and it wasn't very enjoyable for me. Fighting zombies in ARMA just isn't very fun for me because I get frustrated every time I have to kill one, because they decide to run diagonally in some weird zigzag. Maybe it's just because I'm too used to playing it normally going into battles, rather than scouting around for stuff in DayZ. The only mod I really enjoy in ARMA is Chernarus Life. It gave me a way to learn the Chernarus map while having fun doing random jobs, drug trafficking, robbing stores, and fleeing from the cops.
Does he have connections with Bohemia or something?
Yeah, he has lots of connections with bohemia, he made a trailer for arma 1, has access to VBS2, and lots of other stuff. http://www.youtube.com/user/Dslyecxi

looks good, but of course i think for me the best of the FlashOp/ArmA series has always been the sheer amount of content that you can throw around in the editor. hours of non-structured fun and you always discover something cool. they should put a built-in mod browser.
It's being built into the game AKA it's not gonna be a mod anymore.
That sold the game to me. I was planning on buying arma 2 to play it.
Am I correct in assuming they made it more accessible/streamlined with ARMA 3? Even though I know most of the necessary controls in ARMA 2, it just feels cluttered and clunky.
One thing that bugs me is that the reflex/holographic sight simply utilizes a reticule pasted onto a pane of glass, as opposed to how they work in real life by correcting for parallax when the point of aim shifts.
They do that in Arma 2(Although it could be ACE, I'm not entirely sure), so it should be in Arma 3. [editline]5:42PM[/editline] Or shit, I think I'm thinking of something else.
My housemate always made fun of me for playing Arma 2 because "it sucks and no one plays it". Now the series is getting more popular than ever :v: Looking forward to this
Is it just me or are the muzzleflashes a little big? I know it's nitpicky as fuck, but ArmA's all about the realism, and those flashes were fucking gigantic.
muzzle flashes can be pretty big.

So far this looks like it's a massive jump up from everything I didn't like about Arma2 - especially infantry combat/movement mechanics (which feels very robotic and unfluid in Arma2, while here it looks much better). The only thing that remains to be seen is the AI. Arma2's AI was a bit rediculous - they were rather "dumb" tactics wise, but yet had pin-point accuracy and a bad case of xray vision eyes. Oh sure hiding in bushes concealed you, but if you weren't hiding in a specific way from a specific range, you'd always get caught. Playing against the AI felt like I was trying to outsmart a laser-motion detector rather than actually playing against AI.
ArmA2's AI was based around squads more than individual soldiers, and that's there for a lot of reasons. simply put ArmA2 still had a shit-load of Operation Flashpoint stuff, right down to the mechanics of the gameplay itself. You load up the AI in Opfor and you'll find they acted pretty much the same way.
Already have plans to preorder like I did with ArmA II. Can't wait to murder the DayZ crowd of fools who run around in the open.
I can't wait for DayZ ArmA3 to be released so I can shoot at Greek zombies.
My graphics card is still crying. Hopefully I can run this adequately without upgrading. A\Or at least too much.
I always thought it was funny that there were women in ArmA 2, but they were all civilians, and they weren't even animated to hold a gun.
Well, I bought Arma 2 for the prostitutes. Arma 3 better have them. They were amazing.
I can't wait for DayZ ArmA3 to be released so I can shoot at Greek zombies.
perhaps some guy with a love for chernarus and hate for social life could even port chernarus over to arma3
