The first Die Hard was supposed to be a sequel to Commando.

However, the fourth is also based on a book I believe.
I don't get the hatred towards the sequals. I see the first as being the best, it used the formulae to great effect, and the exchange between Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman before the finale was fantastic, half of which was improvised.
However, the third is still my favourite. There's just something about it that I enjoy more than the others. The second is by no means terrible, however there's a few aspects of the story I dislike. I find four is still a great film, and comes on par with the first on enjoyment for me.
If anything, more of what Bruce does best is a goog thing, right?

And there was another movie before Die Hard that was also based on the book that was the first part of that book. And the character who became John McClane was played by Frank Sinatra.
Yup, Frank Sinatra is also John McClane. In a way.

Die Hard 5 credits song.
Rewatched all of the 4 movies.
Civilian body count:
DH1: 3
DH2: 231
DH3: No one died in the [sp]subway explosion[/sp], so that only leaves the intro explosion, and that's about 70 people, depending on the size of the book store.
DH4: A LOT

That guy in the [sp]Federal Reserve Bank[/sp] was killed with that spray needle gun thing, I don't think it was [sp]a depressent[/sp] because that would make no sense in a Die Hard movie.
Civilian body count in Die Hard 4 wasn't a lot. [sp]A couple of the hackers at the start and maybe a few more civilians in the tunnel scene.[/sp]
With all communication, traffic, and everything else messed up, a lot of people die.
they went from original 80's action movie to hackers taking over the world and being all dramatic
fucking pos
Die Hard 1 & 2 were brilliant, 3 was meh.. and 4.0(why the .?) was shit.
To be honest, I was entirely unaware they were making a fifth.
