That creep believed that other dude was 13 when he saw him? He must be blind as fuck.
Edit:
Watching further he does get suspicious.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that he got less / different charges and less time than the others?
Am I the only one who finds it weird that he got less / different charges and less time than the others?
it all depends on what the charges are placed against him, how they hold themselves in court, plus the fact that he's judged by different people than the other guys are. i'm assuming it's a different court each time based on where they live (correct me if i'm wrong.)

Don't they need to get these people to sign releases in order to show them uncensored on video? Why would any of these people actually sign that, knowing they'll be demonized on national TV?

Maybe they cut them a deal? I'm not to knowledgeable on law though so that's just a shot in the dark.
Honestly, I'll buy the Ep1 guys reason for having the gun in his car. Doesn't seem too far-fetched given both his military background and the current situation in the world - it's bordering on paranoid but it makes sense either way.

That moment when he says he doesn't have condoms in his car and then they find the gun, condoms, and duct tape in the trunk
That moment when he says he doesn't have condoms in his car and then they find the gun, condoms, and duct tape in the trunk
That's the worrying part. If it was just a gun it would seem legit. But not the way it actually was.
PIf you have a condition such as this and need psychiatric help, and don't seek psychiatric help and act on your urges, you're still a piece of shit.
As if these guys just realized they need help just because they are caught and on TV. Give me a break.
And who cares if their face is on TV???? There's a reason you have to register as a sex offender.
I have a feeling you have literally never been anywhere near someone with a mental issue, no matter what it is, because if you had been you wouldn't have said anything nearly as fucking retarded as that is.
You don't know instantly and automatically when you have a mental issue. There's no warning pop-up that tells you you're clinically depressed or suffer from paranoid schizophrenia or are a pedophile. What happens is that you start suffering from weird symptoms that are so out of whack the first human reflex is to not tell fucking anyone.
And that initial reflex isn't even wrong considering that modern civilization treats the entire issue with such retarded obscure rejection that an alarmingly high number of people don't know how to notice the symptoms, on themselves or on others, and don't know the course to treat them - which means that the first thing that pops in people's heads is pure unaltered pessimism.
The keystone of mental illness is that you can't think rationally. Whatever you're thinking sounds like a good idea because you're not aware of your condition, and if you're aware of it you may go into denial or simply assume you sudden idea is fucking amazing and totally unrelated to your illness, or cannot be treated anyway so the only way to silent the urge is to irrationally plunge right into it hoping it silences it. Why do you think the best treatment for pedophilia is to shut down their sex drive ?
Your cancerous, properly fucking retarded approach to the issue is why there's so many school shootings and so many pedos running wild in America. Nobody wants to find out what they're up to before they do it, nobody wants to learn about it, everybody's perfectly willing to stick to the idiotic narrative that people with uncontrollable urges are in full responsibility because that makes dehumanizing them and throwing them in jails all the easier.

Also ,If they have the ambition to lure and go to the houses of minors they sure as hell have the ambition to talk to a psychiatrist who keeps everything confidential.
Ah yes the same psychiatrists which cost fortune, prescribe you expensive drugs, and are portrayed by the media as assholes who lock people away in sanitariums till they die.
When's the last time you've seen anything actually showing how a mental institution functions ? From experience the very first thing that pops into most people's minds is stuff like fly over a cuckoo's nest, and people take that as how it is right now.
People don't have the reflex of talking to qualified people about the matter because nobody trusts these qualified people, for lack of proper education or willingness to educate.
i don't really see how you could defend the pedophiles in these shows. they're showing up with intent to rape a kid. this and TCAP are kind of sleazy and questionable (though hilarious) but it's hard to feel bad for a guy who was gunning on permanently damaging a kid psychologically
I'm not defending the action of these people but their right to an appropriate treatment rather than being paraded on television as monsters who just pop out of nowhere. Their treatment across the legal procedure is notoriously terrible and there's no actual help given.
It goes further than pedos. It's about how the entire US legal system is built to strip people from their humanity when they commit a crime and throwing them at the wolves without a single lick of attempt to make them not shitty people. Pedophiles are just the most striking example because of how absolutely fucked it is across the board.
I was hoping it would be chris hansen sitting down with a yautja.

You know America's criminal justice system is a fucking joke when we have reality tv shows based around it.
what a creepy fucking dude, like he looks like the perfect replica of what i would picture a predator to look like.

Correct me if I'm wrong but are you saying that we have to change the whole way we look at mental illness in order to properly combat it?
As much as I would like that to happen, it's a near impossible task to change the view of society.

not really, people used to be pretty ok with the awful conditions of lunatic asylums a couple centuries ago, now look at us.

You're a bit wrong though. True that it's near impossible to change society since ideas are hard to kill, and there will always be those with ideas that should be discouraged. Though that doesn't mean that it's impossible to change mainstream society's opinion. Like with Racism and such. It just takes a long time. And in this case, a really long time.
I don't think witchhunting solves that. It sends the wrong message about those people and their problem. (The problem of the fact that they had to resort to child molestation.)
I saw a post in Hansen's AMA about him finding the idea of a followup episode where he would get in contact with the people that he caught interesting.

Am I missing something here or are these the most idiotic creeps ever?
How is the Jeep Liberty in the driveway not a dead giveaway that something's up when the decoy says they are alone in the house?
Is it normal for "13 year old kids" to own cars?

Some people have two cars
People don't always take the car either, tbf

Theres three cars outside of this house that belong to people in this house right now. You know just because you live somewhere doesnt mean everyone there needs to rely on one vehicle, yeah?

My problem with the show happens to be that a crafty lawyer could establish that the added humiliation of being in the show as well as the additional filming of the detainment are in violation of the due process of the law, possibly letting an actual pedophile off the hook. It hasn't happened yet but to be honest considering how the judicial system in the US works it's just a matter of time.
The other thing is, we're trusting that the show is being responsible and that they're not deliberately deceiving somebody into actually walking into the house. You could easily ruin a man's career with this. Generally, making a spectacle of a sting operation sounds like a counterproductive thing to do.

From what little i know of our legal system im preeettty sure that couldnt happen. They already have the evidence they need before he steps foot into the house, and the arrests themselves are conducted accordingly, theres no real loophole there just because some dude shit talks the idiot on camera before he gets cuffed.

Dont know about you but i feel like it'd be hard to bait normal people into going "Man you 12 year old damn you're looking fine i cant wait to cum in you dont tell your parents teehee". And every time, the kiddie fuckers admit to it on camera in some fashion, "oh its my first time" "oh man i shouldnt have done that" "I made a mistake".
All Chris is really doing is documenting it and being an asshole to the pedoshits on camera, the actual evidence and arrests are done by the police and whatever 3rd party is assisting them.
