Big Choice at this Election vs. the Long-Term Economic Plan - which catchphrase will win?

Let me answer you directly, smurfy, because I want to be clear about this....
I don't know.

Let me give you an example
[editline]5th May 2015[/editline]
Look, I-I think this comes back to the big choice at this election
From different election communications I've seen, this election is a Two Horse Race -- between lots of horses
It's a 2 horse race between Labour and Conservative for government
It's a 2 horse race between Lib Dems and Conservative in some seats
It's a 2 horse race between Lib Dems and SNP in Northern Scotland
Though my favourite is the one I got from Labour this morning which due to some unfortunate placement shows the blue horse in the lead:

Also this morning, I got a letter from Gordon Brown:

Nice of him to send two identical ones to my girlfriend and I, just in case one got lost in the post.
First time voting, sent of my postal vote today. Feels good.

The choice is this. We can either continue with the long-term discussion we have laid out before ourselves, or risk it all by changing the subject...
...to a topic propped up by Freeze.
Whenever a celebrity or public figure not normally associated with politics comes out in support of a political party (regardless of which party it is), I always think a little less of both them and the party they're endorsing.
I get that it's just the same as anyone else trying to promote the party they support, but I just can't shake the feeling the party are exploiting their star power to convince the uninformed (like "ooh, alan partridge is voting labour and he's a funny man, I'll vote for them too").
I was watching Knowing Me Knowing You once and there was a skit where Alan had some politicians on. The Labour one was a nice diverse Rebecca Front, the Lib Dem was a nice diverse black man but the Tory was this white guy who Alan was obviously backing. He couldn't articulate himself well and got in a big strop, and it was one of the least funny political jokes I've ever seen.
Ever since then, whenever I see Steve Coogan or any of his associates, there's a little voice at the back of my mind that says "Cunt."
Just for you - enjoy :v:

Went for a lunchtime nosy and caught the latter end of the visit - tour bus clogging up the street. Still, it was good to wade through, surrounded by ribbons and buttons and flags and all that jazz.

I've heard that the election will affect the rest of Europe. Is this true?
I've heard that the election will affect the rest of Europe. Is this true?
Some of the parties in the running want a referendum on the UK's membership of the EU in the next few years.
And even if that wasn't the case, a change of leadership would most likely bring a change of foreign policy, so UK-Europe relations would be different.
Well best of luck to all candidates tomorrow, and I'm excited to see the results post-tuesday!
The reason I'm so curious and interested in the UK's politics is, well, we (the US) still have a relationship with the Mother Country, and I feel it's in my best interests as someone interested in history and culture to understand how our ally's governments work and operate.
Also it lets me in on British jokes
This post is relevant
I've heard that the election will affect the rest of Europe. Is this true?
Short answer: Yes
The Conservative party (our centre-right party) have said that there will be an in/out referendum in 2017 if they get into power.
The Labour Party (our centre-left party) have said that they will not hold an in/out referendum if they get into power.
So, depending on who becomes our next Prime Minister we will/will not have a referendum on whether we stay in the EU or not.
Basically, in 2017 the UK may leave the EU.
There are other issues at stake like our Nuclear Weapons and armed forces levels but the referendum is the biggy with regards to Europe.
I've educated myself as much as I possibly can, and I still don't have a damn clue who to vote for.
Sorry Corky, I don't know how I managed to blank your post all day - I think the images weren't loading at work :v:

So with a lot of Labour's leaflets saying things along the line of "the only way to keep David Cameron out of Downing St. is to vote Labour", if the Conservatives do end up forming the next government, it'd be great if Labour's party line for the next few months was just "WE FUCKING TOLD YOU SO"

I wonder how much lower Labour would be if you removed London from the equation considering the Swing from Con-Lab is much higher there than anywhere else in the country.
What time do polling stations usually close? I won't be available until like 7pm
