Well, my constituency has gone to the SNP from Labour. In a proportional representation system I'd have put SNP as my 2nd choice so I'm alright with this result.
I think I've developed a crush on Nicola Sturgeon.
SNP rise is a good thing in my eyes, but damn it's gonna have some pretty big consequences and probably not entirely positive ones.
Labours safest seat just went to SNP in a 39% swing
madness, it's a bloodbath
I wonder if Ed millipede will last another week in the labour party
And George Galloway got reported to the police by the Returning Officer :v:
BBC talking like this is already over and Miliband will be gone, is it really looking like that will happen?
I wonder if Ed millipede will last another week in the labour party
It's been suggested he'll resign by midday.

Lib Dems kept Orkney & Shetland, which was a signal of their success in this election (ergo: if they lost this seat, they were FUCKED)

While Labour have 82 and Conservative have 48 right now; most Labour seats have been holds or occasional gains from the LD. They did just take a seat from the Conservatives but that merely counterbalances one that Con took off them earlier. Conservatives had more seats to begin with by virtue of the 2010 General Election, therefore unless Labour or a potential Labour ally start taking seats from the Conservatives the Cons are likely to start catching up and overtaking by sheer weight of held seats as the sun rises. SNP's gains have been almost exclusively Labour losses and so as an anti-conservative front there may as well have been no change.
Where is this second seat the greens are predicted to have? I know they usually take Brighton Pavillion
anyone just see the coffee intern get shouted at on bbc, and then crouch walk away lmao
Where is this second seat the greens are predicted to have? I know they usually take Brighton Pavillion
I think predictions have suggested Norwich North
did Bernie Sander's brother win? he's green from somewhere.
did Bernie Sander's brother win? he's green from somewhere.
He's running in Oxford West and Abingdon, so he's not going to win anything
a party called Beer, Baccy and Scratchings just got 113 votes
UKIP just won a seat.
UKIP just won a seat.
they retained a seat, UKIP had clacton in 2014*
they retained a seat, UKIP had clacton in 2010
Ah, didn't realise they had any from last time.
Won doesn't necessarily imply gained. But yes, it was a narrowly held seat and looking like the only one UKIP will win tonight. Farage apparently set to lose Thannet South and resign as party leader, probably storming off in a rant and blaming immigrants for his loss.
Ah, didn't realise they had any from last time.
They didn't win any at the last election but gained 1 in by-elections between 2010 and 2015.
Yeees, labour held in Edinburgh south
He cleggs on.
But not as leader of the Lib Dems - he's going to resign in a couple of hours.
