That's the issue with modern politics, candidates are judged on his appearance rather than how they would run the country. Happened to Gordon Brown aswell.
If his policies are better, vote for them, that's what pisses me off. People comment on how he looks or how he ate a bacon sandwich instead of what he wanted to do to control energy bills, rent, deficits and debt etc etc.
Now for Natalie Bennett, she came third in her election bid.
Lets be honest, Bennett's future didn't hang on this election :v: She'll stick around.
Tbh I think people thought he wasn't able to lead. Personally I thought thee country would be a bit of a joke with him at our head; didn't stop me liking him as a guy though.
Also the biggest loser last night was Russel Brand lol

It's a massive problem, but unfortunately the media perpetuate the meaningless bullshit and focus on appearances and media gaffs rather than the policies - and it is the policies that much of the public is so very misinformed about.
scotland: *votes for a left wing progressive party*
england: *votes tory*
england: YOU HAVE FUCKED US OVER, SCOTLAND
Conservatives have 326 seats - it is now officially a Conservative win and majority.
In/Out EU referendum in 2017 - next big thing could be the UK leaving the EU
The UK needs voting reform.

now, I expect UKIP would get fewer votes if they became a realistic option rather than a protest vote, but still, 38% of 66% of the population voting to get a complete say in the running of the country.

Nah, the left-wing "revolution" movement is going to be stronger than ever. Labour will probably move back to New Labour making the Greens the only actual left-wing party. Hes gonna be loving it.
splittin up the left vote
Pleasantly surprised that Plaid Cymru was unaffected (although they still barely have the amount of support the SNP has in Scotland)

To be fair the fact they got 12% of the vote and only one seat is fucking bullshit
But with the Torys in we can guarantee zero electoral reform
I'm happy with these results, it was a nice thing to wake up to this morning.

The Lib Dems got over 900,000 more votes than the SNP, UK wide.

A PR system would have given:
Con: 240
Lab: 199
UKIP: 82
Lib:51
SNP: 31
Green: 25
PC: 4
Others: 12
Although I doubt UKIP would get such a high vote if there was PR, and a lot more people would have turned out.

The moment Farage lost his seat was priceless:

Also: first time since 1931 the Lib Dem / Liberal party hasn't placed third.

I had to check if that really was Al Murray ha

Of course he was with Al Murray, because Farage is just a local bloke going down to the pub, watch football, drink pints of lager and smoke in front of the cameras :v:.
I can't wait to not hear the word "pollster" again for at least another five years.

Mind you, people North of the border have got the Scottish elections coming up next year.
Oh boy I hope they scrap that pesky human rights act right away and crack down on some more of the feckless poor through ideological austerity cuts.
The poor and disabled have suffered enough already. Cunts.

and the NI assembly
I have a friend who absolutely loves to over react to everything regarding politics. First it's moving out of the UK if UKIP get into power and now it's being unable to live because of the Conservatives.

As weird as this may sound, no
Interesting statistic: this election cost the Liberal Democrats £169,000 in lost deposits.

God, it's perfect.
You've got the mouthy, slightly racist one, the little dorky one and the third one that's trying to be serious but the other two won't listen to.
God, it's perfect.
It would be perfect with Gordon Ramsey and Boris Johnson as well.
