I have a friend who absolutely loves to over react to everything regarding politics. First it's moving out of the UK if UKIP get into power and now it's being unable to live because of the Conservatives.
Small update, they're thinking of trying to move out of Britain because the Conservatives are in power.
Seen a paper claiming that Cameron is likely to regain his seat at NO.10? Are the conservatives is the lead, I'm not British, but I was half hoping never to baby face Cameron on tv again.

Labour signed their own death warrant with devolution in Scotland with Blair. They lost all of their 'easy' scottish seats to SNP as a result. With that said their representation in England was still very poor.

Even if *literally* everyone in Scotland voted Labour they'd still have lost.
Basically this is the worst result ever for the left in the UK. Not only in terms of actual results, but also because Labour is probably going to delete Miliband's leftist rhetoric and go back to New Labour ideology (meaning being exactly like the Conservatives).
RIP

And unlike the tuition fees in 2010, this, for some reason, won't be seen as a death toll for the Tories. Because to the people who vote for them, they might as well be infallible.

Ed didn't even sound that leftist either. I guess that says a lot about the state of the major left players in the UK. Politicians need to shut the fuck up about "hard working families" and other stupid rhetoric.

Yup, looks like my dads going to be making it as conservative councillor down here!
Every party now has more women MPs than ever before, except the Lib Dems who have lost all of them

My town's got its first ever female parliamentary candidate in (Labour).
Some people are complaining though saying that she was chosen because she's a woman and not because she was better than the other candidates. Apparently Labour selected only women candidates or something.
I'm emigrating to Scotland. Who's with me?

My local Green Party extended general election candidate nominations twice (over a period of about three months) because no women applied

All my local Green candidates are women :P
I hope Scotland gets drug policy devolved and decriminalises/legalises drugs, then I'll emigrate. Still, anti-austerity is probably good enough on it's own...
Anti-gov protests going on outside No.10
no media reporting on this, unsuprisingly

That's because it's pretty stupid.
And of course the protest got physically violent.

The Fracas of Downing Street.

Judging from the stream, there was only like 50 people there. I tracked down the event page on FB, full of people complaining that they couldn't find the protest cause it was so badly organised :v:.

Police have started making arrests. It's extremely weird that this isn't being reported on.
It was reported on BBC news at ten.
Furthermore, while I understand people protesting smaller policies like legalising foxhunting, it is just straight up stupid to protest the Tories winning a democratic election that proved a majority want that government in power. That's how the system works.
Must have missed the report then. Weird it isn't being *widely* reported on, I should have said.
While I agree it's fair that they won under the current system and it's a bit silly to protest, the system IS pretty fucked. They got 36.9% of the vote share and yet got over 50% of the seats. Not great, really. We are in a true need of an electoral system reform.
I genuinely want to see how this government will work in the next couple of years.
I have no idea why people are whining since Labour had a pathetic campaign.
From the right off I thought Ed Miliband was a weakling in parliament and that his brother should definitely have led them. It's their own fault.
Why choose Hermann Goering when you can have Hitler?
