I think he's just trolling guys, so ignore him.
The facial animations are leagues better than 3, NV.
The facial animations are leagues better than 3, NV.
Still really bad, though v:v:v
Still really bad, though v:v:v
Not really it's fairly average I'd say, like the actual lipsyncing is pretty good it's just the expressions that are a little stiff
The new call of duty is really looking good

So basically it's just JC2 except slightly better at everything it did.
Are you purposefully trying to shit up threads or do you genuinely think like this?
Looks a little generic, but of course this is just a demo. I'm sure the actual game will be fine.
Are you purposefully trying to shit up threads or do you genuinely think like this?
I'm trying to keep a objective point of view and not giving in to hype.
how does it feel like CoD? is it because you can aim down sights? it looks like a better version of the gunplay from 3/NV, with the ability of aiming down sights. See no resemblance to Call of Duty.
No, not at all. Just something about it doesn't sit right with me, I can't describe it. I like how everyone immediately jumped on, though. Aiming down sights is fine. Not saying that the gunplay is bad by any means, either. I already said it's looking way better than before, but there's just something about it that bugs me. The sounds? They certainly don't sound as satisfying ('satisfying' is in 50 quotation marks) to me, but that might be because I've sunk way, way too much time into 3 and NV and became adjusted to them.
Considering gunplay was one of the main complaints about the previous games, I don't see how an RPG shooter having the gunplay with a mainstream shooter is a bad thing?
I'm trying to keep a objective point of view and not giving in to hype.
If you were to keep a consistently objective point of view, you'd be able to acknowledge that the gun play is objectively better than the Fallout games preceding it without likening it to Call of Duty. What you're doing is not keeping an objective point of view, it's just glorified shitposting.
Also I love how the world is 20 years after the war again and who needs skills when you've got perks
Sounds like somebody is having a bad day
I'm trying to keep a objective point of view and not giving in to hype.
objectively shit what kind of argument or point of view is 'new cod is looking good' because it literally has nothing to do with cod I mean outside of shooting and aiming down sights, something fallout had before its just shitposting.
Considering gunplay was one of the main complaints about the previous games, I don't see how an RPG shooter having the gunplay with a mainstream shooter is a bad thing?
Because it isn't obtuse and clunky, it isn't a real RPG, just like how Skyrim and Oblivion aren't real RPGs because they don't roll dice to check every minute detail of every feature of the game. I think the gun-play seems just about the same as FO3/NV, which wasn't bad. I've only played NV tho, seen FO3 on the side as an observer.
That laser musket looked fucking rad.
That laser musket looked fucking rad.
I hope we get normal muskets too. Brown Bess would be nice.
No reason to argue over the shooting. Sometimes Fallout 3 could be really frustrating. The developers simply improved the shooting and now the game will be a lot hella fun
I like how that one rifle hes using is made from scrap.
I can kind of see where Proch is coming from, I don't think the gameplay looks like Call of Duty but the game definitely has that kind of look where it's 'exploratory' but you're basically fed down a certain path. However, this is just a demo where they want to show things off so i can only assume that stuff like that will all be as avoidable as the other games.

Good gunplay does not equal railroading.
I love how the guns in Fallout 4 sound, they don't sound like the puny pop-guns like the guns in Fallout 3/New Vegas did. Also, i'd love to see the power armor have a fear effect on weaker enemies, as in show up in the armor and some enemies would go "OH FUCK HE'S IN POWER ARMOR, RETREAT!!" though with raiders it sorta makes sense for them to keep fighting despite them being hilariously outmatched since they'd be so full of chems that they wouldn't be thinking straight to begin with.

You're saying the combat is like CoD because of the gun sounds?
I fail to see why cod-like combat would be unwelcome. Fallout 3 and New Vegas had some pretty awful shooting, and I'm saying this when New Vegas is one of my favorite games of all time.

Call of Duty isn't perfect by any means among FPS games, but at the very fucking least your gun doesn't have a noticeable delay between the click of the mouse and the weapon firing like FO3/NV.
Ramirez get that laser musket! Ramirez kill the raiders! Ramirez get that power armor! Ramirez defend this position! I hope quests have more depth than this.
Ramirez get that laser musket! Ramirez kill the raiders! Ramirez get that power armor! Ramirez defend this position! It's also probably an early story or tutorial-ish quest to help get the player to a point where they can explore more.
Ramirez get that laser musket! Ramirez kill the raiders! Ramirez get that power armor! Ramirez defend this position! I hope quests have more depth than this.
It's pretty obviously part of the start of the game, where they're still introducing you to the mechanics. I'm sure that once you get the basic 'this is a pip-boy' 'this is how power armor works' 'these are raiders' 'these are the main faction guys' 'this is a deathclaw' stuff out the way, it'll open up.

Bethesda keeps the gunplay the same as FO3 - "Ugh, fucking Bethesda keeping their shitty clunky shooting from FO3, lazy assholes!" [editline]17th July 2015[/editline] Like god forbid a developer try and advance and improve their game for the modern day, right guys? FPS = CoD now.

IIRC the shotguns in particular were less like chnk chnk chnk and more like BOOMF BOOMF BOOMF BOOMF Also, I can't be the only one worried that having fully customizable weapons is going to result in a lot of them being terrible peashooters. The more extended gameplay we see, the more worried I'm getting. About that, at least.

Preston Garvey is just a mcguffin.
