Also, that style of 'origin story' hasn't been retold all that much. Post Crisis, you got Man of Steel, Birthright and Secret Origins which are all distinct and different from that formula. Silver Age Supes was nowhere near that either. Like I said, that story is very much Donner's unique formula.
