Even though he's not a game reviewer, his analogy is perfect.
I admit, that movie was done with effort, but it didn't make me laugh or reached my high expectations for it. It was an "OK" movie.
Try to think of the good side, hopefully, the creator might take their advice into consideration and it will most likely improve his future movies so that everyone will like it.

But that analogy doesn't always work.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out if the rocket blew up, but you do if you want to basically do everything else from building one, to figuring out why it blew.
