If there was an entire level featuring fat Americans throwing hamburgers at you, then it would be an issue, but not as much of an issue as RE5 since the stereotype only came about in the past 10-15 years. Whether or not if it's a majority of the game or one level doesn't really make negative stereotypes more or less of a problem.
Yea it is actually. Because if the game has few fat Americans, and there actually are few fat Americans in America, then how is this discrimination as it's not stereotyping at all just mimicking reality?
Even if one of the levels would take place in a sanatorium for the obese, it's still not stereotyping.
Obviously if I say that all Africans are tribesmen with spears that would be racist but what if I say that there are some tribesmen in Africa. Is that somehow racist?

You ignored the second part of my post. Does the game has some of those tribesmen in there or does it try to portray all/most Africans as tribesmen?
I think you only fight a total of about 6 or 10 tribesmen. They first appear in the boat level where it's fucking massive and devoid of people where you fight two of them, and the rest in some fortress alongside the normal enemies.
Honestly I think Capcom just watched "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and thought the main character was cool.
Reminds me of this.

It's hard to include a mindful depiction of minorities in games because something I've found is that if you play as a white guy who shoots brown people, that's racist. You're killing brown people. If you play as a brown guy killing white people, that's insinuating that brown people kill other people. If you are a white guy who kills other white people, you're not showing enough diversity. If you're a brown guy who kills other brown guys, it perpetuates a violent stereotype. There is no winning with the ridiculous racism-caller crowd.

Oh man I forgot Bad Day L.A. was chock full of negative American stereotypes. Black dude is a hobo with a shotgun, "female" character is a cross-dressing madonna with a poodle, Mexican guy is a gardener with a chainsaw, TSA is an enemy because nailclippers are a weapon :v:

There goes perpetuating common misconceptions and stereotypes. Unless simply putting a black dude wearing tribal clothes in there is perpetuating the stereotype somehow.
"Muh political correctness!!" Seriously, when will these manginas fuck off from the video game journalism and development scene? Fucking sick of their low testosterone driven pussy talk about how games need to be ~~~~~~politically correct and diverse~~~~~~
I couldn't care less about what color a certain character is of. WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT POINTLESS SHIT LIKE THAT
They're fucking games, stop making a huge deal out of fucking nothing. Fuck.

It's getting to a point now where people think ethnicity and colour of skin is more important when making a character than their depth and quality of the overall story.
Anyone could write a Walking Dead rip-off set in a country with POC characters with no genuine themes/story and probably get filthy stinking rich off these idiots.

You want have your cake and eat it? Games can't be taken seriously as a medium, as in getting this constant 'games cause problem x,y and z and all they are is shooting zombies' and never getting any narrative weight if the counter argument to any point made is 'there just vidya gaymes guyz!'.
Just looking at the posts here it's clear the maker of the video is stupid, and then I saw
I'm going to assume that this video basically makes fun of gays. And that it makes the assumption that all gay people not only look but also act a certain way.
Wouldn't say it makes fun of gay characters, but it kinda ignores that many games (at least in many I've played this seems to be the case) have a protagonist without a stated sexual orientation. If we have to make it clear that a certain protagonist is gay, it kinda implies gays act differently from heterosexuals.
