Cool insight to your training. Lucky you got to film all that as I'm sure the British Army would be strict about it. PS: You still owe me a tenner ye bastard!
Would be odd to restrict filming unless you're into something like the special forces. It's basically free publicity and seems like basic training would be similar in most armies.
That was really cool but the conscription seems unethical.

Reminds me alot of my service. Have you had a good cook?
Reminds me alot of my service. Have you had a good cook?
A good cook? We were recon, we ate half-frozen chili con carne from the tin
The military and even the police here are immensely anal about cameras and camera phones and you always get quoted the Official Secrets Act.
With us everything has to go through the press office first, it can be a pain sometimes. But a lot of the lads put up group photos and stuff on Facebook to share amongst friends. Talking about stuff on Facebook can get you in trouble though, I've seen that happen once or twice where a guy puts up a status of where he's going for the weekend. Carrying a go-pro would probably get you crucified, especially if your near the border.
It made me miss my service too. The only thing that puzzled me about the Danish conscription period is that it is only 4 months. You barely get to function as a coherent platoon, then it's all over. It's purely because of budget cuts. The government even talked about ending conscription and only taking volunteers. Keep in mind that if you actually sign up, you get an additional 10-14 months on top of your 4 months of basic training before you can be sent off to war.
A good cook? We were recon, we ate half-frozen chili con carne from the tin
Now the real question, did the chili give you really bad shits?
Hey, so here's a question: Does the semi-automatic nature of the G3 affect your capacity for suppressing fire? I remember the British having issues during the Falkland war, having semi-automatic L1A1 FAL's against the Argentinian automatic FNFAL.

They have full and semi auto. Going full-auto with 7.62x51 is a whole other thing though. You'll be lucky to hit anything after the third shot That's balanced out by having multiple MMGs per squad though. We were not lacking in the firepower department [editline]16th September 2014[/editline] making of:
A lot cooler than if I took a video of what I do. Well made!
The file name says "Tapalaager" which means "Tapa camp" but could be translated as "murder camp"
That's the special ingredient, my friend! Where do you think they get meat out there in the middle of nowhere?
I found another well edited video of EDF
