I wanted to attend the USAF academy but it was just over my head academically and not exactly the kind of career I want to pursue. It is extremely rigorous it's a good idea to read up about the whole process. I read this book [URL]http://www.amazon.com/Air-Force-Academy-Candidate-Book/dp/0929311078[/URL] and it helped me make an informed decision.
How abundant are the infantry jobs in the USMC? If I go to a recruiter would a job be open right away or do they normally take a while to open up?

Go in October and ask, that's when the fiscal year starts and they'll release the new job quotas. That would be your best time to find out.

You have a senator recommending you? (you implied it earlier) The most i can muster up for college recommendations are a few M.D.s and clinical psychologists. Still incredibly on the fence if ill need them or not.

Well I don't have a recommendation yet, I've been to a few info-days and basically they say to start sending letters to senators sometime after you send you preliminary application. The earliest you can send your preliminary is February 2nd, so I'm sending it then.

They won't. Just take care of your teeth during basic, they might schedule you for dental work during AIT though.

You'll have to go down to their nearby hospital and you will miss out on days of training which is very very valuable.
