name one war the belgium was a major faction in, excluding africa
There are Belgian soldiers here in the Stan.
name one war the belgium was a major faction in, excluding africa
Belgians made a large contribution in WWI, its thanks to their efforts Germany was unable to follow their time line and complete the Schlieffen plan.
Just got pro rec'd by the Navy's December selection board for Naval Flight Officer and was told to expect a OCS date of January 27th. Oh man, what have I got myself into...

I wanted to join the Australian Army as an officer once. I applied when I was in my final year of school and they said to come back when I'd done some uni, worked and travel some more, because the only guys they take straight out of school are the guys who worked several jobs and are school captain or something [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] I'll make my decision if I'm still interested after uni
Belgians made a large contribution in WWI, its thanks to their efforts Germany was unable to follow their time line and complete the Schlieffen plan.
"Still, despite stiff Belgian resistance, the timetable for the Schlieffen Plan was going according to schedule before it was halted in France."
"Still, despite stiff Belgian resistance, the timetable for the Schlieffen Plan was going according to schedule before it was halted in France."
One, you didn't give a source and just put it in quotes. Two, do you know how often history books will flip flop on their stance? Both you and I could find sources that backed up our claims. Belgians made a large contribution to WWI and even after the Schlieffen plan's failure continued to harry a significant amount of German reserves in the rear lines.
I've always wanted to try Belgian Waffles. Are they really worth all the hype?
I don't know, but their chocolate is worth it.
A few marines came to talk to our class at my school yesterday and got me interested. It seems like a good deal to get college paid independently from my parents and have an experience. But I'm a bit hesitant as I'm sure my mom wouldn't want me in combat even if there's non-combat jobs.
Sorry for not updating the run thing. Stuff came up and I have been feeling like crap. My best friend from 5th-6th grade just got out of Parris Island, so that is 4 classmates in the Marines. I envy their ability to bite the bullet and do something.
'If you are motivated in your unit, you can motivate others.' Oh God, that was such a knee slapper now that I look back to that.
So me and my plt sgt have started hitting the gym at 0430 before pt, then doing pt, fuck I am sore should not have scored a 293 on my last pt test.

So that is the Air Force, Army, and the Navy, whom i need to talk to via recruiter over the winter break now.

She and my dad came with me when we first met with a recruiter. That helped a fair bit, but when it comes down to it, it's your life and you'll have to do whats in your best interests, not hers.
My parents are pushing for it, despite them being some of the most liberal people I know.
The careers office guys tend to be a fantastic help and a major source of information, they should try and get the best out of you trade wise in relation to your grades and such.
So has anyone here personally met any well known higher-ups? I just thought about that because today, the President went to see some Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed and my wife was able to shake his hand. She's also met General Powell and Admiral Greenert.
I met my division commander, but that is about it.

Oh and the MCPON visited my classroom one time, when he was touring the new hospital corps school. The BUMED FORCM shook my hand and promptly told me "shipmate your top button is unbuttoned" lol.

I just buy all of mine.

Real great guy, shame he got the boot for something that was happening long before he got there.
I'm a good A- GPA and it will stay the same until I get out of HS next year, I want to go to Med school but I'm not rich so is there a program like the rotc for Med school instead of college?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/tAcIU.jpg[/img_thumb] This made me laugh.

I recommend going the Navy route.
