Volition need to make a new Red Faction game that combines Guerilla and RF1
Not gonna happen unfortunately, not only was it not included in Volition's acquisition by Koch Media, but it pretty much became a dead franchise after Armageddon. http://www.nowgamer.com/features/1780126/red_faction_death_of_a_playstation_series.html Red Faction was a franchise that had its ups and downs, it had a good run, but eventually all good things must come to an end.
I wish Guerilla still had an active multiplayer on the 360. It's one of my favorite games ever.
I still remember being confused as fuck by RF2 as a kid, because of how different in feel it was to RF1.
They really screwed the pooch with Armageddon.
Armageddon has one redeeming feature, the Magnet Gun, which you get early in the game and can use pretty much unrestricted. I barely used any actual guns the entire game, something about dropping a house on those big bull aliens is just too damn satisfying.

So much wasted potential.
Anyone up for some fun online? GFWL seems to have sorted its shit out.
hi crabin
Wish I could play the PC version, GFWL refuses to work on this install of Windows, it doesn't even boot, which is frustrating as all hell.
I remember breaking boxes then going inside of them and fixing them. When someone would walk by I'd break out like the Kool-Aid man and beat them with a sledgehammer. Good times.
I do have RFG, but sadly it's so buggy its unplayable. When i started the campaign everything except the landscape of the map was invisible.
I really love the destruction in Guerilla and Armageddon but the games just feel bad.

I ended up fixing it by uninstalling the current version of GFWL and installing the one that comes with Microsoft Flight by getting Microsoft Flight on steam.
Is the multiplayer for this game still relatively active?
Is the multiplayer for this game still relatively active?
Last time I checked was about a year ago and it was dead Which is a shame because I love RFG multiplayer
RFG had honestly one of the best multiplayer experiences and most potential I've ever seen. So many things could happen that were impossible in other games.
I'd really love more game to use something like Geo engine, maybe even better. It's a shame we only had all that mars architecture, and very few really big buildings to smash up. I'd love such a sandbox game with geo engine on earth. Also, that reminds me how we'd have destruction like this on the fly (without pre-calculation) if not nvidia being a dick with physx.
I completed the game, I was a little disappointed it did not have that amazing wall/ground destruction the first rf had but oh well, Imagine if gta 4 had building and ground destruction shit would never get old. I also found it weird there were no multiplayer games considering it was released in 2009 while i saw plenty of people playing crysis 1 and that's sad too.
