wow, when you buy it you don't even get to take it home. it's so good looking, I'd want to use that as a centerpiece on a dining table or something
He cant lift 12kg? what?
He cant lift 12kg? what?
his hair probably weighs more
There's probably more to it than just that. I doubt they could just instantly sell that many tons of gold in one go and just kiss debts goodbye.
if we did then nothing would be backing our money. Then the USD would be absolutely worthless...oh wait...it already is.
Wait...so the UK has 310 tons and is worth 300,000,000,000 but the US has 8133 tons which would be around $7,800,000,000,000 ....why are we in debt?
Because the U.S. won't show anyone the gold reserves it supposedly has, and we are currently about 16.5 trillion dollars in debt...
Because the U.S. won't show anyone the gold reserves it supposedly has, and we are currently about 16.5 trillion dollars in debt...
Because Fort Knox was just a fairy tale right? Like the other poster said, you don't just dump a whole bunch of gold on the market. It's not like the United States Bullion Depository was built to look pretty you know. Or the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is empty or something.
I'm not sure if this is related to the guy who was advertising his channel with this video.
Don't most countries store some of their gold abroad as well?
Wait...so the UK has 310 tons and is worth 300,000,000,000 but the US has 8133 tons which would be around $7,800,000,000,000 ....why are we in debt?
Because the 300,000,000,000 was referring to the value of all the gold in the vault, which is far more than the amount of gold owned by the UK themselves.
I feel like this place would be much easier to heist than Fort Knox for relatively the same effect Lets do it guys
I'd like bullion bars of other metals/alloys, titanium, maybe magnesium, tungsten carbide.
I'd like bullion bars of other metals/alloys, titanium, maybe magnesium, tungsten carbide.
I want one of solid bull semen. It would be exorbitantly more valuable to the right buyer.
Because you guys spent more than 8 trillion dollars on your military and stuff.
Damn right, and we're still the best. FUCK YEAH, GO AMERICA. *WOOOOOSH*
This man looks like science
This man IS science. [editline]11th December 2012[/editline]
He looks like a great chemistrist. He seems very excited about his work.
I love when people are exited about there work, it somehow makes it so much more interesting to talk to them and listen when they are passionate about it.
So Facepunch, who wants to rob a bank? :v:
Wait...so the UK has 310 tons and is worth 300,000,000,000 but the US has 8133 tons which would be around $7,800,000,000,000 ....why are we in debt?
Because we seen what Gordon Brown done in the UK, he sold all the gold and crashed the market, if America done that then the world would explode
I feel like gold would be the most inconvenient thing to steal because of how heavy it is.
If you get one buddy and steal two bars each, you'd have something like $1.4m US worth of gold. For 112 pounds that's not bad. The same amount in hundred dollar bills would weigh about 30 pounds.
Wait...so the UK has 310 tons and is worth 300,000,000,000 but the US has 8133 tons which would be around $7,800,000,000,000 ....why are we in debt?
Please note that the gold in these vaults in both the US and UK ain't all owned by the government, a lot of it is privately owned so they can't sell what they don't own. Also selling gold to clear debit is a bad idea especially if it's done via the government as it cheapens the currency used by the country as it has less gold to back it, without gold your paper is worthless.
Did they check he didn't hide any gold bars in his hair before they left?
I'd like bullion bars of other metals/alloys, titanium, maybe magnesium, tungsten carbide.
I'd like a bar of plutonium. That way I'd have something warm to cuddle with at night :3
