The foil is used to keep them warm. It has a silvery lining that reflects back the infrared heat given off by the body, the gold side acts as a barrier to stop the heat escaping the blanket. A quick demo of how it can work is take a piece of white paper and paint one side black. The black will absorb heat from the sun but the white side will remain relatively cool as it reflects back the radiation that gets through the black back into the black. The reason they are used is that they are light and can be packed into a very small space. Its a good idea to buy one, you can pick them up pretty cheaply in trekking stores, useful if someone starts getting hypothermic.
entertainment at its best
After reading their wikipedia article, both sisters are fucking insane.
Why the fuck are people like this allowed to roam the streets? Apparently the one in red is a murderer too, does anyone else give a damn?
My brother thinks that they were possessed by aliens, he called me up a month ago and told me to watch this video about 2 swedish girls who are possessed by aliens because they live through crazy shit that no normal person would be capable of living through :v:
Yeah but you don't have a brother, you have a nephew who is 10 and I doubt he "Called" you.
What is the gold foil for?
Emergency Blanket Basically they work by reflecting the body heat back twoards the body, keeping it warm I guess they used it simply because it's probably what they were trained to do to all injured people in a scene. Whoops late
Did you even watch the 4th video? She got 5 years fixed sentence because the judge had his hands tied.
Yeah. Five years. That'll teach them not to stab someone again. Here, in America (you know, that country everyone says is backwards when compared to wonderful Europe), the best you can hope to get is a minimum sentence of twenty-five years for murder, and it's that way in pretty much every state. After that it's life, or, *gasp,* the death penalty, depending on a bunch of things. I guess we just need to listen to the fruitcakes in here who say we need to "understand" people who cannot be understood rather than put them away, though...
Why does Sweden have a high rate of suicide? See the example below: Swedish Male Commits Suicide Live On The Internet (Warning: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC) Warning: Viewer Discretion Is Advised - Graphic Footage! I've never understood people that think we should let the scum of the earth walk alongside us and continue polluting civilization.
As messed up as that was, I sort of wish that guys head didn't block the first girl getting hit. Something mesmerizing about accidents like this :ohdear:
Jesus christ just shoot their ass so that they won't traumatize any other innocent lorry drivers. Attention whores.
[img_thumb]http://www.bestweekever.tv/bwe/images/2010/07/Antoine-Dodson-Dumb.gif[/img_thumb]
There's a MUCH higher rate of people having suicide THOUGHTS than people who actually commit it, though. Like, 90% of the teenage population is emo.
Wow the one psycho bitch MURDERED someone, and she literally got around only 3 years in prison. Bravo UK your legal system is fucking stupid
it's not like having more years in jail will suddenly make someone snap out of insanity the goal of prison in the UK is not to simply stash away people like other countries do hint hint [editline]31st January 2011[/editline]
I guess we just need to listen to the fruitcakes in here who say we need to "understand" people who cannot be understood rather than put them away, though...
excuse me, explain how having 25 years in prison will solve anything for anyone you have all the little insults and snide remarks but your post lacks any kind of critical or logical thinking

She is obviously a danger to society and is apparently not all there mentally.
She should be put in a mental institution for life. She is obviously a danger to society and is apparently not all there mentally.
that's different from prison

Behold, the effects of marijuana

I just love how, when she runs out, one guy just stands there and says 'Oh NO! B*tch!'
25 years without the chance of stabbing someone is a hell of a lot better than 5 years without the chance of stabbing someone, isn't it?
And when she gets out she stabs 5 times as many people to make up for all the lost time :) It never works to just ignore the problem. Stupid. @down His reasoning is very good.
Reasoning behind the sentence from the judge. "I understand that this sentence will seem entirely inadequate to the relatives of the deceased. However, I have sentenced on the basis that the reason for the killing was the mental illness and therefore the culpability of the defendant is low and therefore the sentence I have passed is designed to protect the public. It is not designed to reflect the grief the relatives have suffered or to measure the value of Mr Hollinshead's life. No sentence that I could pass could do that. It is a sentence which I hope fairly measures a truly tragic event."
People blaming the women for their irrational actions without having prior background knowledge of mental illnesses are idiots.
i saw this on TV
