You could try Googling his name and clicking on one of the thousands of news articles that are circulating right now?

All I got were articles of him saying sorry to Sandra Fluke for calling her a slut.
sandra fluke sounds like an asshole to me, anyways. no one is silencing women. i'm sorry, but in my eyes they're both equally awful..
You have no idea what you're saying by comparing her to someone as twisted and disturbed as Rush Limbaugh.

...which is what you'd want, because that's what this whole controversy is about.

That video posted that the sponsor boycott is mostly about how overall he makes very offensive jokes about people and disasters not just because of that person.
So, just throwing this out there: He's catching a ton of shit for calling a woman who spends $1,000 a year on contraception a slut.
This same woman wants the government to force religious institutions to betray their personal faith and morals and buy her contraception for her, a clear infringement of the 1st amendment.
I actually agree with Rush on this one, guys. I also think Fluke's a retarded socialist bitch who could give two fucks about freedom and individual liberty.
[editline]time[/editline]
Buy your own damn contraception, or stop fucking!
Don't force people to betray their faiths so you can get your damn pill.
Buy your own damn pill if you need to fuck so bad.
It's commonly known as personal responsibility :)

But, holy shit 1000$ a year on contraception?, where did you get this info from?

And nobody should have to pay for it but her. She wants others to pay for it, effectively making it their business.

And by asking the government to force this, she makes it everyone's business.
She wants others to pay for it, effectively making it their business.
no she doesn't; you fall for exactly the same stupid shit everyone else keeps falling for.
the entire story has been about the fucking insurance companies providing contraceptive coverage and that's what she testified for. it's a women's health issue because ultimately contraception deals with the reproductive system of a woman which includes medication that classifies as anything under the umbrella of contraception. it's so that if you have to get some kind of reproductive medication you don't have to pay for it all by yourself which is where the cost comes from. this has zero to do with the taxpayer.
if you wanna keep blowing rush's dick go ahead but all you'd do is regurgitate his non-sense.
and as someone who deals with healthcare, i can tell you that the notion that contraception is only for having sex is fucking stupid and medically ignorant.

this is the actual quote
"Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school."
Far right conservatives are takig it out of context, she never claimed that she spends 1000$ a year, also they "did" the math and calculated that 1000$ on birth control equals sex 2 times a day everyday. The problem with that is that they are calculating with 1$ condoms or comdom packs( each condom being cheaper than a dollar in this case) not counting all the contraceptive methods like the morning after pill(40$ generic at CVS pharmacy) or a UID (up to 750$ Copper T and insertion procedure) or diaphragm (up to 4 the pack plus examination to see if you can be fitted with them)
Now, if you make the math with any other contraceptive method other than condoms, the numbers make sense
what they've said about sandra fluke basically constitutes libel and slander. it wasn't enough to attack her point of view, they had to make sure she'd have her name associated with being slutty.

This is patently false. Let me make you a flow chart.
School's insurance won't buy contraception>
She want's the government to force the school to payfor the insurance policies that will. (any legislation costs the taxpayer money, by the way.)
So, who's money get's spent? The taxpayer's through legislation and the school via raised prices of insurance.
Sounds like their business.

$9x12=$108 per year for oral contraception.

what?
first of all that's an amazingly shitty flow chart.
second of all the only way you associate this with taxpayers is because it's legislation. does that mean it's the taxpayers business what i do with my water which is legislated? how about the internet? how about my TV?
I also think Fluke's a retarded socialist bitch who could give two fucks about freedom and individual liberty.
you're a hypocrite.

Hypocrite? explain.
If you live in the US, your water is most likely either 1) on a well on your property and, therefore, yours to do with as you wish without legislative interference, or 2) Provided by the municipality in which you reside. In the latter case you either pay a fee for the water usage, making it your property and therefore your business, or you pay for it through added taxation with the same effect.
It's a completely different situation.
[editline]time[/editline]
Additionally, It is you every other taxpayer's business what exactly is being legislated by their government(s) and why.

You don't win an argument by telling somebody they've got a shitty chart, asking a question, and then insulting them. You of ALL people should know this.

no, there's a federal act called the Clean Water Act.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_Water_Act
based on your own stupid logic, if the legislation which forces insurance companies to cover reproductive care makes everything she does taxpayer business, then the legislation forcing facilities and municipalities to provide clean water makes everything anyone does with water taxpayer business. same thing with the legislation that regulates TV and the internet.
besides that you can't prove that this will cost the taxpayer anything considering you made some completely bogus claim that any legislation costs the taxpayer money.

not that i asked your input anyway.
Of course the huge irony behind this Rush Limbaugh outrage is that the Viagra we know he consumes is almost definitely subsidized by insurance companies.
That's okay though because men having sex is cool, women having sex makes them sluts.

Insurance he probably buys himself, rather than forcing religious educational institutions to buy it for him.
the article is 4 years old, and if you keep reading it you can see that there is a better contraceptives than the pill, the vaginal ring, witch needs medical prescription ranging from 50$ to 200$; and the ring itself that costs 35$ per month
that's 420 per year plus up to 200$ for the prescription.
Also, women uso more than one method, usually condoms because they offer STD protection

but, aren't most americans unable to get medical insurance because of the economic status?
Alright, we get it. Now can we all shut up about "x social website is better than y" that's not the point of the thread
I agree that the discussion should stop but to be fair, you are the one who started it for the most part. So you kind of brought it on yourself. But it would be best if everyone stopped whining over which website is best because basically every website on the internet is terrible until you start looking at the certain things that you like. Such as on Reddit, I tend to browse /r/gaming, the lesser known /r/gamernews, occasionally /r/funny, /r/tf2, /r/ batman and /r/worldnews because they interest me. I do the same for Facepunch because I browse General Discussion, Sensationalist Headlines, Photoshop Contests, many of the Garry's Mod related ones, General Games Discussion, and Videos because they interest me.
