If you want to talk about the 1st amendment, then religious institutions ought to pay taxes. Pardon me, but doesn't such an exemption create a "law respecting an establishment of religion?" Paying for these contraceptives in no way forces them to use them. Marriage equality doesn't force Christian men to marry each other; they can carry on using their condoms to fuck their cousins.

Not really, because [i]all[/i] religious institutions are exempt. There's no favoritism (equal protection under the law is fulfilled).
