i'm going to find a suitable place when i'm back in london
Fenchurch Street isn't very busy (or big). Just meet at the top of the escalators.
10:30 is the latest we'll wait
[editline]09:13PM[/editline]
broke my automerge damn you
Hey Bengley oh might train man, will booking from [URL]http://www.thetrainline.com[/URL] be the best route to get to london, I'm coming from Cambridge and it's what I normally use, unless you know a cheaper/easier place to book from?
personally i'd recommend national rail inquiries for booking trains, i've used them twice and had no problems
[editline]09:43PM[/editline]
put in your journey and they'll calculate the fees and direct you to the train service website, e.g. virgin trains
I can't see an end time in the OP and forgive me for not reading 15 pages, what time will it end, I seem to remember reading 5:30pm?
yeah that's what it says on the website, i'll add it to the op.
Ace and Bengley are train line masters.
i got nothing on ben's train abilities, don't even put me in the same league as that!
If you guys plan this in mid october, It'll be awesome, as my birthday is on the 28th
Never use thetrainline. They charge an unnecessary booking fee whereas booking directly from a train operating company is free.
Either use the east coast, southern, london midland or chiltern railways' website as they all have the best booking systems (you can book with these for any journey in the UK even if not using that operator's trains)
thetrainline provides no price benefit.

I'll probably be coming, so when I do, I'll call you and ben Mr. Train, or thomas...
[editline]10:04PM[/editline]
My mum said I can come, only if I can find ways of transport... she'll be paying tomorrow maybe the day after.

I live in Benfleet. A town right next to upminster.
Ohey guys, I think I'll just pay in the £7 and then turn up there if I can, would that be acceptable considering even if I don't come I'll have only lost £7 and you guys can still enjoy it as you would?
I live next to barking by the way, so I don't really need advice on how to get 4 stops to Upminster...
[editline]10:13PM[/editline]
Also I'm 17 and I guess that makes me a younger (If adult is 18+)
you're free to make your own way there if you want, send me the £7 and i'll add you to the confirmed list.

Ok, well just to sound a dick I'm probably going to stay with them, I just checked back on previous trips to london and the booking fee was £1 for 2 adult returns so I'm not exactly fussed by that.

What would you suggest? Taxi? Or getting dropped off by my mum?

Woo! I understand we need to be at the place by 11:30-11:40 to be early right? (I literally just skimmed the last 10 or so pages)
if you're planning to travel with us from Fenchurch Station then you need to be there by 10:30. If Fenchurch is out of your way then just make sure you're at the paintballing site for 12pm.

But why pay it when you don't need to?
Plus if your train is delayed or cancelled you can't claim a refund because you bought it from somewhere other than a TOC.

If your mum can get you to the paintballing site, then I'd go for it.

God damnit ben my automerge!
I had a quick look at thetrainline to see how long it would take me to get to Upminster, and it says that the train I would have to take at the latest would leave at 8am.
16/33, we're getting there

Don't use thetrainline. Would you give a ticket seller at a train station a tip for selling you a train ticket?
The answer is no, you wouldn't.
Okay I've sent payment, I am nowhere near fenchurch street so i'll be at Upminster at 12.

You need to be at the paintball place by 12. I'd make it a bit earlier if I were you.

That's what I meant :v:...o
Don't quit on us this time, Espio, like you did with the urbex thing.

Ok, didn't know about the cancel part, probably won't use TTL now

I think he means to plan how to get there and then book from the ticket sellers
Wish I was a brit...
Right lads, I've got the go ahead from my mum, after a bit of nigling. Sending payment now, you ought to get it in a few days or sooner.
