Yeah, I tend to play around with colour in my pictures, and, usually, I use levels in Photoshop if I'm not satisfied with them. For this one I thought the dark colours seemed to fit, but here's one with levels applied:

The main idea of the thread is redrawing weird, bad or strange stuff. I think it's fine if it's your own stuff what you're remaking. According to the rules:

despite the anime face which i dont care for, the first picture has a way more consistent style. the second one totally lacks depth, everything looks like it's from a different painting and the texturing is flat-out confusing. the pasted on t-rex jaw is a baffling decision

i find it hard to believe they're even by the same person. it's very odd. the first looks like someone who is doing a good job learning to paint, the second looks like someone who lost all the understanding of depth and light they previously had

Sometimes I can't believe I showed that second one to anybody actually. The story: there was a character design contest that I totally procrastinated for and I whipped it up, focusing more on texture that actual composition (for no fucking reason). They had all the competitors pieces out in the hallway including my POS. That's what started a long journey to improving my art reputation on campus... :suicide:

Anyways, let's just say that I've learned my lesson: I should never procrastinate when it comes to art.
