are you unironically saying that circlejerks are justified?
I doubt it's a circlejerk, and more like a lot of users that tend to share the same opinions. It's something you'll find anywhere, and it's not like there aren't those who disagree with the majority.
And it's usually those who do that make an un-unironic post like that.

Same. It would appear they pulled them. Either they noticed Steam would be required to register them or Valve told them to get it off their store. Probably the former, because it's publicity for Steam either way.
I love how they use that cool hip guy as if I use origin I will be in the know and be popular.
Yeah because they're committing fraud..
Didn't you hear? EA is a scam.
So did nobody notice that apparently Metro Last Light, a THQ game, is on there as well? :v:
I bet you 10 bucks that half of those were forced to use it because you can't play certain games without it.
More like all of them. All EA accounts were turned into Origin accounts. What was funny was how they said popularity in the first year was up 400% or some bullshit high number like that. That means this year it'll be down 390%

Yes, that's bad, but i was meaning this:

What the hell, it means that working with EA is like starting a criminal career :v:
Oh, hey, for the people who are saying that Steam does the same thing, here's something to consider:
and 90% of "steam does the same thing origin does why don't you criticize it too" is invalid because either steam does it right or better, or because steam works and isn't run by a bunch of assholes who don't care about customer satisfaction
Whatever they say Steam is allways better
Other online game stores like Greenmangaming.com also sell games that need to be activated on steam. (steamworks games)
Though it would be wrong to call them Capsule Games (or imply that they are via ads), because at no point is the download/install/launch client of GMG needed for those games.
Though in the case of Valve games on the EA Store it's not just Steam-keys they are selling, it's actual physical copies. So it's more comparable to Amazon.com or other online shops that sell physical copies of PC games.
If Valve would be selling physical copies of let's say BF3 (or any other Origin-exclusive game) on the Steam store, no one would consider those games to be Steam games. They'd still be Origin games.

No, it's because they're only available in the US EA site.
Try those links with a US proxy and you'll see that they work.
Why do they still say exclusive like its a good thing?
Why do they still say exclusive like its a good thing?
because exclusives are the only thing keeping Origin afloat.
I downloaded some game from the app store that was made by EA, origin integrated thought it was neato
What I don't like is a couple of things
1. That cloud looks fucking ugly ew
2. I don't mind facebook integration but knowing EA it'll probably send game invites to people
3. Don't you think it would've been a good idea to include mac support from day 1, jesus christ
yeah steam didn't come out with mac support till 2010, I understand that's late but origin was completely refurbished, don't you think during development they would of gotten time to port it to mac?
jesus christ
But didn't almost all the 'users' get origin because it was one of the only ways to get BF3?
But didn't almost all the 'users' get origin because it was one of the only ways to get BF3?
Not one of the only ways. It is the only way. BF3 requires Origin. ME3 as well.
I saw 2 Dead Space 2's right next to each other, and then like 10 more as it moved. Wonderful
21 million people have experienced origin, 10 million of which only play battlefield 3
21 million people have experienced origin, 10 million of which only play battlefield 3
the other half play me3
21 million 'forced' users.
Pirated EA games raised by 80%
"content you won't find anywhere else" - yeah, okay.
Origin is just useless, we have Steam.
Origin is just useless, we have Steam.
Steam is just useless. We have Direct2Drive.
Steam is just useless. We have Direct2Drive.
Except Steam improved on the concept completely, while Origin ripped off Steam's work. There's a complete difference.
EDIT: Scratch that, I just realized that D2D was a direct competitor of Steam when it came out. Still, though. There must be some reason why D2D isn't as well-known as Steam.

No Human Resources. That explains everything.

Because Steam is run by a well known game developer with a nice list of quality titles. Just because there is a competing service doesn't mean it's a 100% rip off. It's competition, two companies are in a market to turn a profit by trying to oust the other with their services.
7 Darksiders
and 3 Left 4 Dead games.
kill me
I hate Origin because their prices suck, why buy from there when i can get games cheaper from steam or amazon.
Origin on mobile devices is actually not that bad. UI is neat, feels almost like Steam overlay.
Too bad it is done by EA and has no chances on PC.
This is so awkward.
It's funny how they have to disable everything because consumer reviews scare the shit out of them.
