I don't see the issue with the post in that picture.
[editline]17th July 2015[/editline]
And I don't see what point you're trying to make with it.
two seperate issues, im not exactly saying the page is damning it (it really is, if you really think its not you're blind as shit when its run by mister "if its not 120 fps its completely unplayable on my 5x titan rig") TB is just acting like hes the savior or PC gaming again by making a pointless list you could just google in 5 seconds.
Ever thought of not making assumptions like this and actually thinking about the issue without labeling someone as condescending(while being condescending yourself)?
Something this simple to understand shouldn't have had required a 7 page long discussion.
And don't even get me started on fov sliders, I get physically sick at shit that's like 60 fov, with my preferred being 120, do you also go "lolnerd" when seeing someone get seasick, have an asthmatic attack, or a diabetic shock?
Literally nothing alike. I mean I'm in total agreement about uncapped FPS but c'mon mate you know that being sat on your PC and the FOV in a game not being to your liking is nothing like someone having an asthma attack.
Like really that's insulting to people with diabetes, asthma or seasickness that you'd even compare the two. One is not being happy with a luxury product and the others are a serious heath problem.

you're an idiot if you're going to act like he or anyone else thinks he is
he's just a dude who says shit about pc games. The only people making those assumptions are you.

"Ack! I disagree with someone! Better say they are an egotistical fuck, because that backs me up 100%!"

Because feeling physically sick is not bad and just "not getting luxury"? Fucking hell mate good job defending one illness while invalidating another.

How are you interpreting "Can cause motion sickness and/or severe migraines" as just "Not to one's liking"?

Having asthma is still not really omparable to FOV sickness when playing a video game, though.
Holyshit, all it is, is a list of games at 30 or below, nothing more, who the fuck cares? Some people get motion sickness from games, mostly caused by lower frame rates, hell, 60 isn't enough for some people.

But the human eye can only see at 30 fps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because you don't have to play the fucking game? Asthma isn't a choice. Not liking FOV settings cause they make you feel queasy is not an illness... Insulting to compare the two.
I mean wow you are really, really, really entitled if you think it is.
Video games are a luxury and you shouldn't whine because they're not to your exact preference...
Kinda not that relevant but I really liked the 48fps versions of the hobbit films more than the 24fps ones, so even in films higher framerates can be preferable for (some) people :v:
There are some truly deluded people in this thread I mean wow... comparing two life threatening life long illnesses with a FOV setting making them feel ill, I'm speechless.

Okay? No one saying that OMG LOW RATE FRAME SICKNESS IS A HUGE PROBLEM GUYS! Its more why not show people that? Have them waste their money on a game that makes them unconformable.

he's an asshole, we get it :vs: that was one dude

I'd replied to someone who was comparing having diabetes & asthma to a FOV slider being set to 60, if you'd read the previous comments.

You're completely missing the point. He's not even trying to say it's just as bad, that was never implied. He's just pointing out how silly it is to brush off problems on your consumer.
Video games are a luxury and you shouldn't whine because they're not to your exact preference...
And this is just stupid. I fucking paid for it, why should I have no say in what they should be like? I shouldn't have to "just deal with it" because devs say so.

And how else can they know not to play the game if this list doesn't exist? Considering that 30FPS is not considered a valid tag by Valve, this is the only way
You're literally missing the point. Yeah they should let you know, but feeling uncomfortable with a FOV slider setting is nothing like an asthma attack I mean jesus christ how can you defend that
I'd replied to someone who was comparing having diabetes & asthma to a FOV slider being set to 60, if you'd read the previous comments.
He wasn't comparing it to that, he was more doing it to say you are brushing off problems.
(just wanted to point out that you happened to pick my review and my friend's one)
I was expecting this game to be fully modernised for PCs of today since the old version's menu and gameplay are in low resolution, the controls are slightly awkward, and online play was sometimes hard to get working (I feel as if that's okay considering the game came out in 2001 before Steam.)
They promised us an improved frontend and 1080p/60FPS which as a customer I can assume it was for the entire game, but upon purchase and launch I found that the main menu ran at 640x480 which is exactly the same as the original release of the game, and the mouse movement in menus was far too sensitive with no way to change it at all. I didn't see a keyboard rebinding menu at all in the options, only a button that opens a screen displaying gamepad controls. The keyboard controls were awkward because I had to use the jump button before I could even move at all, and the keybinds were not displayed for me anywhere.
I didn't write this review because I watched the Framerate Police video, I wrote it because the game's quality is not what we were promised.
Like I said I was only asking if it was a coincidence. It wasn't my intention to do any callouts or whatever. I'm on TB's side of all this. Thanks for being civil about it though.
Yeah, problems which in no way are even in the same bracket of importance. FOV discomfort in a video game is like one million times less important than almost any problem or illness in the world, sheer delusion if you think they're anywhere close.
Yeah, problems which in no way are even in the same bracket of importance. FOV discomfort in a video game is like one million times less important than almost any problem or illness in the world, sheer delusion if you think they're anywhere close.
We fucking get it. But it's still something I do not wish to suffer from.

No problem, there's no need for me to get worked up about it at all. I requested a refund for the game and I'll be happy to rebuy it when the game is fixed up to a much better standard and things work as they are supposed to.

Can I just say that it's really fucking annoying to me when people say that an analogy is invalid because one of the points is on a different scale than the other? Nobody is saying that nausea is as bad as asthma, people are saying that not informing someone that their product may result in some degree of physical harm to the user is a bad thing to do. That's the whole fucking point of an analogy: take two things that share qualitative similarities, and show how a general point applies to both. Somebody getting a peanut allergy because they weren't informed that a product contains peanuts is comparable to someone getting nauseous when playing at 60 FOV when they weren't informed that the product is limited to 60 FOV, because they're both easily preventable forms of bodily harm that occur only because the consumer was not informed of them. No, peanut allergies are not the same thing as nausea, if that were the case it wouldn't be a fucking analogy would it?

"Aw man, my car's transmission failed. What a bummer."
"There are starving children in Africa! How could you possibly care about your transmission when there are bigger problems in the world?"
You guys are deluded...
this might as well be called 'entitlement - the thread'.
Yeah they should warn you if something is locked or whatever but the analogy is stupid because they're not similar whatsoever, one is heath other is personal preference.

Yes. Paying customers are entitled to get what they want out of a product. A proudct that they are paying for with money that they earned. Why is that a bad thing?
Because it's not been made specifically for them? It's a mass produced product and many people will enjoy it, some won't. Thats that.
