that's a very retarded solution there is literally no reason to have them mounted at the bottom [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] and that also doesn't fix the airflow + cabling problem
woosh
holy fuck I know this isn't the topic of this massve flamewar of a thread but fuck me, I forgot computers had got this good. I'd love to fire up a heavily modded skyrim on it and see if it didn't grind to a halt (though knowing skyrim it would probably just run the same as on my 4 year old rig, just not utilising any of the extra power)
mounting PSU's on the bottom is technically a lot worse for both airflow and safety than on the bottom
Any sources to back this up? I would have thought having the PSU pull fresh cool air directly from the outside of the case and then pushing it straight out of the back would have been better. Capacitors don't like heat and having the hot air from the rest of the machine getting pumped through the PSU could potentially lower its lifespan. Putting it at the bottom you essentially take the PSU out of the equation for airflow. That and they are quite heavy, I'd have thought keeping the centre of gravity lower in the case would have been a good thing for physical stability. I mean yeah, for a water cooled rig you are putting it in the "Flood zone" I supppose. but you mentioned Airflow.

Wow dude what a waste of dosh. You can make a computer that lasts for fucking ages on about a grand or two.
All this talk of prebuilts, I love putting together and taking apart my computer. Makes me feel so accomplished when I hit the power and everything works.
