Come to HVA Saturday.
Do you and Nivek mostly go to HVA on saturdays? Because I ucually can only go on Sundays because my ride and friend can only go sundays because my ride works for Coca Cola in Newburgh. I probably won't be playing till a little bit after the holidays. [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] Timebomb, you should come out when all four of us go to HVA, it'll be great. And freezing.
Hey... if you play on Saturdays, that's better for me than Sundays... probably not this weekend, but gimme a few weeks and I'll be out there again.
I always play Saturday because I can't really wait an extra day to play, I kind of count the days to the next game. I don't really have any other reason.
I haven't played in a month or so. God damn winter.
It'd be awesome if all of us facepunchers could meet up at HVA one sunday, since really that's the only time I can get out and bring two friends with me. So if all of the Northeast Facepunchers go, it would be Codemonkey, Nivek, Ivebo, myself and I guess Timebomb, but I don't know where the hell he lives, and I think the Slick or Identity, I cant remember but I think they live somewhere in the general northeast area. Forgive me if i'm wrong because my memory sucks ass and I don't keep track of where Facepunchers play or whatevershit.
Im in Rochester as of right now, so its a bit of a drive for me.
Say hi to my family in Brockport and Spencerport for me.

What is the difference between this SIG 226? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5738 And this SIG 226? http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=366_610&products_id=4538 AEX one comes with a carrying case and is much cheaper, but I don't know, something isn't right here.
I'm from CT, Identity is from Florida. I keep meaning to come up.
Alright guys. Let's see if you can help me. I'm looking to make a new acquisition of some sort, hopefully around Christmas. Oddly enough, I have a considerable urge to get some sort of Kalashnikov weapon. Now, I know CYMA's regular plastic AK-47 is known to be relatively effective and last forever (I heard one indepentent test logged it as surviving up past 150,000 rounds in one torture test). What about these, though? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_206&products_id=3887 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_206&products_id=3309 Are there any choices you guys would recommend for $300-? Also, do either of these have a threaded barrel?
afaik any cyma gun after CM028 is alright, and i dont think either of them will have threaded barrels but i might be wrong on this one i just doubt it that cyma would rifle the inside of the barrel (which im pretty sure is unescessary for airsoft in the first place)

"Rifling" is that thing they do in a real weapon barrel to add lateral spin to the bullet (a similar stability and range-modifying principle to how hop-up works in airsoft). Threading is the thing on the outside of the outer barrel, towards the very end of it, where the flash hider screws on. I assume, since the muzzle brake on that one up there is a bit like a flash hider, that it could be switched out for a mock suppressor.
ah sorry man i completely misunderstood what you were on about, im not sure but i do know on the CM047 it has a threaded flashhider but i don't know about those two.
Get a Real Sword AK.
Get a Real Sword AK.
I don't have $400 to blow on a RS Type 56. Already said that my price range will be $300 or less.
Get a Dboys AK then.
Get a Dboys AK then.
Well, what are it's merits? Why would you suggest me a $400 hunk of metal, and then follow up by pointing me to a clone brand? What about it is good? I need helpful info. This could quite possibly be an expensive buy, so I need to know everything I can. Also, for a non-AK, how reasonable a choice would a VFC of some sort like this be? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_142&products_id=5730
With a few upgrades (costing less then $240) a Combat Machine M16 could easily outmatch that choice.
Sigh. I already have an M16 (unless you meant M4). How could a plastic-bodied gun outdo that VFC, just curious? Unless you're implying I would want to buy a metal body kit. My skill as it is now really isn't sufficient to upgrade things myself, and I don't really want to go down to the local shop and pay the tech to do it unless I have to.

Anyone know how to remove the outer barrel from the hop-up assembly?
wat gun is that. from what I remember from messing around with my TM hicapa they just pull apart
KJW P226, i tried pulling it apart but it gets.... stuck
Dboys is a clone of VFC. Get a VFC or Dboys. I own a Dboys AK and it's pretty awesome.
Will consider it. Do they make a plain AK-47? I don't really like the more modern and up-to-date stuff (such as the AK-74s, except for the 74us) all that much.
Just because it's plastic doesn't mean it's not as good.
Of course not. That goes without saying. I simply expect a metal receiver to survive more external abuse (the plastic stuff feels awfully flimsy to me, and while it will probably be okay, I dread the possibility of falling on it). I already have two Stoner-based weapons. If I'm getting a third, it's going to have a metal body (though I want a full-metal gun anyway).
Dboys and VFC both make full steel AK's. I'm not sure as to which kind of AK's they make, I have a Dboys 74un. I'm 99% sure they both make a AKM, not sure if that is too "up to date" for you (the 74 is like 35 years old, you realize that right?).

Anything after that makes me cringe a little bit, because it just doesn't look right to the slight AK purist gene in me. The Stoners, on the other hand, are something I believe can be skewed from here to Mexico and back and still be okay.
Dboys make a AKMS. However it is not in stock at Airsoft GI right now. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_211&products_id=6726
