Hey guys, around some time next year I'll be getting a decent amount of money (£300 to be exact) for a good Airsoft loadout, it has to be two-tone (UK Law, of course) so I was wondering if the Cyma CM030 EAP would be a good sidearm with 2 extra magazines.
For my main gun I'm thinking about the G&G MP5A4, it's got a decent 330 FPS which is good for what I'll be using it for. (CQB)
Additionally, I'll be getting a Viper tactical leg holster, a full face shield and 5000 king arms platinum series BB's.
I'm a keen Airsofter but I've only bought 3 guns before, all of which were rather useless to me as they were cheap, broke easily and had a very low FPS and range. I guess that's what I get for buying crappy springers for £30.
Anyway, your opinions would be pretty helpful.
Stay away from the electric pistols.
The G&G is fine, but my concern would be the face shield. I guess for CQB it's handy, but if you ever go field it's not entirely practical. Otherwise, looks like a pretty good setup to me. Nice job.
Any AEP is going to have pretty poor performance.
G&G is an excellent brand, go with that, lose the holster, those BBs should be fine, and the full face shield is the most uncomfortable thing you can possibly wear, I've tried those before and they suck.
Ok, I'll ditch the holster and the face shield.

Cheers, I still need a good secondary though, I'd prefer not to go with a gas pistol to be honest. Sure, they have great FPS and range but my main concern is the fact that in cold conditions they fuck up and refilling the gas over and over can sounds like a bitch. Not to mention they cost a lot. Any recommendations?
If I get rid of the pistol, magazines, holster and mask I'm left with £118 to spend.
Could always get a CO2 gas pistol that's not blowback. They run about $50 and I don't think they suffer like green gas does during winter. Plus you get about 250 shots out of one 12 gram canister.
Thanks guys, appreciate the prompt feedback. I would deffinatly get the AK from ASGI suggested by Taep, but them not having it is a bit of a problem. Hrm, I guess I'll give them a ring and see when they'll have them back in stock.
Looking at the ASMS one, very tempting, but I think it's ultimatly up to my father.

That sounds pretty good, I'll look for one now, thanks a bunch. :buddy:
I also recommend this for cheap pistols, not sure if you can find one in the UK though.

Those shoot over 90% of fields FPS limits, by the way.
How does this look? Pretty cheap and has a good FPS.
I've looked around and I've decided on a SMG from CYMA. http://www.airsoftpanda.com/product_info.php/cPath/241_248_249/products_id/1767
I've seen it on a lot of sites for 170+. Is Airsoft Panda a trusted site?
It's a good gun for a beginner. Gives you everything you need to get started.
Although I bet you everyone else is going to tell you to get an AK.
Its not so much that I would tell him to get an AK as I would try to steer him AWAY from an M4.
CYMA isnt bad. In the end, you probably have more of a chance of getting a lemon with them than you do with Combat Machine, but for plinking it should be just fine.

and so do most NBB CO2 pistols.

Plastic slides and CO2 do not mix. Ive had awful experiences with that very gun as a matter of fact.

Ah, alright.
I guess I'll have to settle with the Taurus 24/7 then, it's pretty much the only Co2 pistol I can find after checking all the sites I know.
Redwolf Airsoft has a bunch.

Any reason particular reason you want CO2 so badly?
Any reason particular reason you want CO2 so badly?
Well, I've heard that gas weapons screw up in cold areas and that gas costs quite a lot and is used up rather quickly.
Electric pistols always have quite a low FPS most of the time and break quite easily from what I've gathered.
Finally, spring pistols, well, you can work that out for yourself.
I haven't actually heard anything bad about Co2 pistols. The Co2 capsules are pretty cheap as well.
Anyone know if Airsoft Panda is reliable? I'm liking their stuff, and its fairly cheap compared to others.

Never heard of them.
FLYYE makes a good CIRAS vest, correct?
I'd love to get an AEG MP7 for a sidearm. Wish I could find one up here.

A GBB MP7 woud be even sexier imo.

You actually don't even need a sidearm.
You actually don't even need a sidearm.
It's always best to be fully equipped, you never know what kind of situation you'll be in next.
But they're cool bro
Also this.
But they're cool bro
He'll need a sidearm for CQB though.
If you want a good cheap CO2 NBB, get the M&P40. It's like 300-sih FPS so it's fine for most fields. Only problem is the plastic slide, but it's NBB so it's not a huge deal.
Edit:
KWA makes a GBB MP7 but it's $250 because of Umarex. I've seen it in action, :iia:

Still not too sure, I have 4 choices at the moment.
I'll let you guys decide by rating, here are the choices I have:

disagree b/c I've used that gun and it kicks major ass.
Ok, looks like the Taurus 24/7 is what I'll be getting, it's a shame I can't find a place that sells spare magazines though.
A GBB MP7 woud be even sexier imo.
Yeah, but I'm still concerned about the whole cold-weather breaking GBB's.
Although I don't do much winter airsofting..
Considering saving up for the WE KAC PDW after the M14, y/n
