canada
therefore pricse are 2x more than they are here
So, I'm asking a lot of questions lately but here is another.
ARES TAR 21 or KWA SR-12
What one is bound to have better accuracy and range?
SR-12 without a doubt.
Why exactly are guns more expensive in Canada? Import taxes? What?
You're bringing up that fucking Tavor again?!
SR-12 without a doubt.

Import taxes, plus some laws that force the companies to create new "cansoft" receivers.
Not that most of the companies do it.
Anyone know where I'd be able to find mags for the WE Knight's PDW?

wait does the PDW take regular M4/M16 GBBR mags?

Retarded laws that make you have to get a license that costs $1000+ to import them, you need to have an established business to get said license and you're not even supposed to sell them to civilians anyway.
You're bringing up that fucking Tavor again?!
It's only $300 and black now. Even has a rail.
Basically, my Father is offering to buy me a $300-$400 Xmas gift. Getting the money isn't an option so I have to order something while I still have the chance. I want something with some real range and accuracy to reach out and touch someone.
Then molest them brutally.
So if anyone has any suggestions, tell me so please.
As I said, I would personally go for the SR-12. ARES is a big risk, lots of people seem to get lemons.

AND the licence is a props licence (for movies) so you need to be in the movie industry and have contacts inside or someshit. The "Cansoft" guns are legal to import though, so that's why they're 'cheap'.

Screw it, I'd say take the risk and get the Tavor, you've already had 2 M4's. Maybe toss in a tightbore and some other stuff if you want to make it a DMR, that's what I would do. Add a 4x ACOG and you can molest them all day long.
So now it's a question of KWA SR12 or SR10. (Crane or Fullstock)
Crane stock is a little cooler looking, adjustable and has a one-point sling mount.
Full stock has room for a huge, big battery and looks really cool with the longer barrel.

And then there's another law where if it's above 400 FPS it's legal because then it's considered an airgun and not a replica.

Now you made it harder. You're right, I want something different but at the same time upgrading a TAR 21 is a whole different story compared to an M4.
To me right now it's ALL about accuracy and range for my field games. I had a really shitty game yesterday where I was less then 50 feet with my CM and I kept firing, firing, firing over 600 rounds, nearly three hicaps and none of my rounds connected. All they did was stop short and drop like lead ballons regardless what angle the gun. I figure I'll make the CM a dedicated CQB platform.
God damn, is the range on your CM raally like that? Well shit I'm hoping on getting a CM sometime soon.

Then again I know how to shoot a deer behind the right shoulder from 300 yards away with a scope that's sighted in for 50 yards but who knows if that'll help me.
It's better then my CA. It could be something on my part. My Hop-Up was unadjusted (Because I never do, since that just makes the round shoot straight up) and I was using 20 Grams as opposed to something heavier. I'm going to do some tests tomorrow, maybe put a new barrel in it. (Clean the current one as well)

Additionally, does anyone who has a full size M16 want to tell me how it handles? Length wise, is it unwieldy or hard to control, raise, heavy and what are the sling mounting options like?
And does anyone know if the KWA guns have spring releases?
I don't know if they have spring releases, but the charging handle does open the hopup. I'd personally take the SR10, but I'm a pretty small guy so that's just me. Also I think the SR12 has a 20" barrel, while the SR10 has a 16".
Use .25g in the CM M4. Was using them in my CM M4 during todays game with the scope zeroed in at 15 yards (my backyard is small) and I was hitting people from easily 130 feet with just a few shots.
As for using a full size M16, it can be difficult depending on your gear and where you play. Using a solid stock with a plate carrier is a bitch in my opinion, much rather take a collapsible stock. If you're using a chest rig you should have no problems though.
If the environment you're playing in is fairly large with lots of open space, the M16 length barrel is easy to use. As long as you keep the accessories to a minimum it's easy to control, depending on what sort of handguard or rail system you have on it.
For sling mounting, I normally toss on a 3pt sling or a 2pt sling. As with any of my long rifles I don't wear the sling when I'm using the rifle. I only use it to toss the rifle over one shoulder when I have to switch to my pistol, or walking a long distance where I won't need to shoot.
Ender, do you still have that JAE M14?

I don't think the M16 is very long but I probably wouldn't want a gun that's very much longer. It's not very heavy either but it will start to get heavy after a while like any other gun. I just have a regular M16A3 with a standard plastic handguard though so obviously if you got an RIS version it would be heavier. You can put 1 or 2 point slings on it in stock form but you could probably get a buffer tube sling mount.

Sold in back in May I think.
Probably going KWA, Crane or Full stock is the next choice I guess.

This is so tempting for a CQB weapon.
Okay, Cranestock it is. Any idea what the largest battery I can fit into that stock without it being a Lipo?
Thanks for all the advice thus far.
I put a 9.6v 1600maH in mine and it fits fine. I could probably fit bigger too.
You have one? Tell me how the gun is.
No, sorry, I meant I have a gun with a crane stock.
Ah, I do too I'm just not sure what the difference is. G&G Crane Stocks can't accept Crane stock batteries so I'm not sure what I can fit into this KWA.
Probably just a plain old Nunchuck. What batteries do G&G Crane stocks use?
Nunchucks. Largest that can fit is a 9.6 1600 which is what I have in there now.
Aren't a Nunchuck and crane stock battery the same thing?
