We're talking more in the 11.1v lipo range, which is what he wanted and got a 10v NiMh to get as close as he could to it from my understanding. I'm pretty sure some guns couldn't take that, like a Combat Machine. More expensive guns like KWA can because of their reinforced internals. Combat Machines actually can take a LiPoly, look at some of GI's G4 videos.

Let me explain, because nobody seems to be catching on. LiPos have two factors that relate to the amount of power they're giving your gun. The C rating (usually 15, 20, 25) and the Voltage (7.2, 11.1 mostly). And they won't destroy your gun. Seriously. I know a guy who's been running a 14.8 in his stock CA for more than a year without a problem. Your combat machine can take a LiPo. Will it wear out a little faster? yes, but only because the lifespan of the gun is measured in shots fired and a LiPo will have you firing more shots.
