Why do replica NVG's cost so fucking much?

Like the x3 zoom ones made of plastic that fit onto the NVG arm mounts. Why do they cost $70? They're not -that- useful that I'd spend that much for one and wear a helmet and all the headaches that come with one along with a counter-balance for it just so I could 'zoom' in on a target in broad daylight.
