CA or G&G M14? I'm looking for internal quality over performance, though obviously accuracy is appreciated.
Performance goes with internal quality.
Alright, since I want to find a cheap AEG just to mess around with, I.E. learn how to modify internals and externals, but also actually use the gun, is this any good?

That's perfect.
Best budget gun ever made.
I wish I had a cheapo gun to learn to modify internals with.
I plan on eventually using my backup gun (CA M4, the one with the OD furniture) as a project gun.
i was wondering if i could ask the people at airsoft GI or kwa if there was something they could do about my front triangular sight on my sr5, it was advertised and even on the box as having flip up sights, and i dont want to spend ~100 dollars on something that the gun should have already come with.
on KWA's website the gun is advertised with a standard triangle sight
which one should i get?

I'm going to say neither, but if you absolutely have decided on those two, get the shotgun, I guess. At least you know who that's manufactured by. Save up a bit more money and get a cheap AEG. Take a look here:

This is what I might do. Practice on part of my Sportline before trying anything on my beloved VFC.
I can't find any tan paint, though. Most of the places I've gone to locally which had the right stuff before conveniently went out of stock right when I decided on this project.

The second one. Definitely.
Do NOT get a spring rifle.
I was thinking about what I should wear for my first loadout, and I was thinking maybe an unzipped leather jacket/trench coat with a frontal vest underneath. The only thing I can't find to match it is a pair of pants... Any suggestions?
Can't really visualize it.
Got any pictures?
kinda like this, but without the uber-cool mask. the reason im asking about the pants, is that in al the pics, his legs kinda fade out
Not sure if your idea will go over too well, but I can't tell you not to do it. Here's my advice...
It looks like a generic trench coat of some sort (I own one personally, but it doesn't have big pauldron flap things like that one). Hunt around for one in the right color and see where that takes you.
There aren't many plate carriers or other modular ballistic armor that I know of which can easily fit under that and not look really bad. You may want to try a Condor MOD vest though (the real name for this is a Rhodesian Recon Vest, or RRV in case you don't choose that company - Condor relabels all their cloned gear).
i was thinking about maybe just doing something custom, but that wouldnt end up going over too well i suppose. maybe just a leather jacket would do it for me for the moment, but i still need pants to go with it. and probably shoes. and at tac city yesterday, i saw the cheapest shit "plate carrier" ever. it didnt look half bad from the front, but the edges cut out wayyy to early. good thing for me, that wouldnt be a problem. if i see the same kid again, ill ask him if i can see how my jacket looks with it.
