Stalin bless you Komrad. Not god, that religion bullshit is like opium.
I love AK's they are fucking sexy. Also, I'm still a firm believer that you should just go all the way and spend the $200 for the RS Kobra. But airsoft is my main hobby so I don't mind spending big bucks on it, depends on how seriously you take it.

I'd rather pay $200 for something that'd last me for-fucking-ever, rather than $80 for something that'd only last me a little while, and I'd eventually have to replace with the real thing.
Plus, ghosting sights make me sad.
Just a little side note here. Every time someone says "M-guns" when talking about AR-15 pattern guns, I die a little bit inside. Lots of guns' names/model numbers start with M. MP5, M1014, M3, M1 garand, etc...

M-series is a common term for the M16/M4/M15 and what have you. Its just a known thing, despite the fact that I believe all issued weapon in the US military have the prefix M.
But the majority of guns you see on the field starting with a "M" are AR15 pattern guns anyways. Because of this it's become the norm for airsoft.
^ That's true, it still ticks me off a little bit. It didn't before but now a lot of people are getting into airsoft because of MW2 and thinking they know everything about guns.
Speaking of MW2, I bought a used KWA Glock 18 on Saturday. I checked it out before i got it, it's not that fake KWA crap like a lot of people have. I almost bought an M203, but then I saw the Glock and that was that.
Honestly I think I'm going to have more fun with my newly acquired M203 than I've had with my KWA G18.

Get some good shells and nerf footballs. And get a bunch of shells, its more fun when you can use them liberally without having to ration them.
Blow up stuff, laugh manically.
Will do. Luckily we should have a whole box of foam 203 rounds from that $50 box my team bought from Fort Ord. Something like 30-50 foam rounds in there.
As it is I only have a single Pro Arms 96rd shell. I let my friend who has one of those 6 round grenade launchers use 2 of my other shells, and I forgot to get them back from him when I got pissed off and left the game. I'll probably pick up more in the future, but I just spent the majority of my fun money for the next few months.
I have a KSC G18, they are lots of fun imo.
Is it possible to take an M4 and put a full length M16 barrel on it? If so how difficult?
Is it possible to take an M4 and put a full length M16 barrel on it? If so how difficult?
Pretty easy. Just unscrew the old one and put the new one on.
I can't find any though. They're all shitty RIS set ups. I want the profile handguards like on a normal stock M16. No bells and whistles. I just want to turn my M4 into an M16 by changing the battery
If I don't find one soon I'm going to buy one of these and a Real-Sword AK so help me god.

Oh god. Those rails on an AK..
Mikhail would be dissapoint.
There is a spot in hell for people who desecrate, even a toy representation of the all-mighty Kalashnikov.

Get a stock JG one. What's your address?
Man you should have been at ASGI's boneyard sale. I swore they had a bunch of regular M4 and M16 handguards and barrels being sold for cheap. You could try emailing them see if they have any they're willing to ship.
Get a stock JG one. What's your address?
Why do you want to know exactly? And I'm pretty much limiting myself to ASGI as I trust them over everyone else so far as they're the only ones who've never screwed me over.
I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they have any left-overs.
Are JG any good?
JG are decent guns for people on a budget yes. If you can't find JG (Alot of Chinese Plants had their molds destroyed recently by the police so they're going out of stock and never coming back) Echo 1 is basically the same thing, rebranded JG I believe.
Ah, cause like I said: due to all the shit going down in China, my store have JGs, but no Echo 1s. They have G&G and CA though.
G&G is Taiwan. I think CA is too.
That explains why.

I wanted to know so I could kill you if you bought a Real Sword and put rails on it.
If I don't find a M16 length barrel/handguard/inner barrel etc. for my M15 I may.
:smug:
OK so i finally got my shit together and decided what I want to get. I'll have another $100 by the end of the week, school starts again on the 11th at which point I'll be working on the weekends.
Vest/chest rig will be either:

I'm leaning towards the crossdraw one because it's a bit cheaper and I don't have to buy pouches. I lose the customizability of MOLLE but as I said it's cheaper.
And for a new AEG it's:
The Celcius CTW XMAX M4. I won't need to buy batteries since I have a few NiMh's and LiPo's laying around for my JG. It's a clone of the Systema PTW. The main advantage is it's supposedly 1:1 with the real gun, so it can mount real steel parts. It's $620.
Or the new Marui M4 SOPMOD blowback AEG. It's $550 just for the gun but you have to buy the kind of crappy battery for it. This is the main problem with it, the battery is $70 yet is only 8.4v and 1300mAh but it seemed OK in the videos of it. You can't use normal batteries in it. It includes an RIS which is nice. The main thing is the FPS is kind of low (280). I might just transplant the spring from my JG or some shit. It comes out to $620 with the battery.
Neither of these guns can use normal M4 mags, which sucks because I have quite a few of them. The Marui comes with an 82 round, and you can get 430 round hicaps. The Celcius uses all Systema mags and comes with a 120rnd midcap.
So which should I go with?
I have about $300 right now.
I'm begging you, please, for the love of god do not get a Crossdraw. I mean, it might just be me but anyone wearing a Crossdraw makes me rage to no end, it makes me want to single him out and shoot him because it's so newbie. It's like THE FIRST vest ANYONE gets when they start. No one in real-steal situations uses them, not very often. They make the wearer look like a thing retard and they're just stupid. The dumb leather shoulder pads that no one likes or uses, the fixed pouches which are just so odd to me. They throw in an unneeded amount of pouches. Fucking FOUR Pistol Mag pouches. NO ONE NEEDS THAT MANY. I never had enough to fit into the damn things, they're too small and unadjustable to put flash lights or speed loaders in. It's all so ass backwards. All of it. It doesn't even have anything proper in the back to mount a Hydration carrier or anything.
It's just a bad vest, I owned one, I hate it with a passion and I cried tears of joy when I got my Interceptor.
OK so i guess I'll go with something else.
I have some thing like the PMC's in MGS4 have (a condor i think) and it's starting to fall apart so I was just looking for something new. I like the feel of having my pistol holster right there, although shoulder holsters are nice too. I'm probably going to go for that MOLLE one then. I need something that's really small, I'm super skinny and a little bit short.
The Crossdraw would look really bad on you then, I mean, if you want it, by all means get it, I'm just giving my opinion which is extremely biased. You may want to get a second opinion on it.
