Oh, shitty. Where do you live?
Medicine Hat. Everyone commence the lolz again.
Oh, riiight, I forgot you already told me.
Well, it's only a four hour drive to Calgary. :v:

Seems more like a 2 and a half hour drive for me. I have to go up Calgary once a year to go to the doctor because I have some shitty muscular disease.
Ah, I never actually driven up there, just guessed from how far away it is.
You need to come drive down to Calgary sometime, and join one of JOC's OPs.
I'll need to get my license, a vehicle, a proper loadout and midcaps for my AUG before that happens. Probably won't happen until I've moved out to go to college, but I'll most likely be going to University of Calgary anyway.
How do you discharge anyway? Us the battery until its completely out?

Best advice: Just throw that battery away and buy a NiMH. It will save you time and money down the road.
For NiCD's you need a charger with a discharge function. This should drain the battery (though my charger sure doesn't do it). That or run it in your gun until it's dead, but don't dry fire your gun for long periods of time to drain it, cracked a gearbox this way.
Yeah, NiCads are a bad idea. They have a tendency to explode from what I hear, but I've never really used one because I found that out early on. Intellect is a good bet for batteries.
How long would an 8.4v 3600 MaH Intellect last in a G&G M16a3.
a long time
A whole day of use?
yes
Ok, cause I'm buying one.
My 8.4v 1600 mah lasted me about 6 hours and it showed no signs of getting towards the end of the charge. 3600 should last a lot longer than 6 hours.
Ok, I guess it is worth the $60.
My friend has the same thing and he's had it charged for three months and it's shown no signs of being discharged in the slightest.
He's been using it for three months without a charge?!
Mine would last a few months without a charge.
Then again, we "recon'd" a place for like, two or three hours.
3600 would be...
Yeah, months and months of continuous use. Even just my 1600 will last for the whole day.
It's going to depend on how much you shoot. I had a 9.6v 3600mAh large battery for my CA M15 back in the day and I could probably get 2 full days out of it. Figure I went through 3 hicaps a round (I'm being generous, it's normally more), and there's 4 rounds in a day. 12 Hicaps, 300rd each = 3600 shots x 2 days = 7200. Sounds like a lot.
I wouldn't be too worried about it dying. Just charge it up before every game and you'll never have a problem.
Being offered a TM AK, stock, great condition except for a blown motor, for $75. Good buy? I'm thinking I'll get a wood furniture for the front, an underfolder, and make it my CQB gun, it's TM so it'll probably last forever and a day if I don't put in a hot spring.
My 8.4 crappy stick battery lasted 24 hours.

I am using a NiMH battery only that I need a new one as its 1100mAh and doesn't last very long. I saw one 2600mAh but its NiCD and Rectangle. My AK is using the long rod style battery unlike the rectangle ones you get in CYMA's AK.

In that case your stuck with the mini stick batteries. Highest I've seen those were at 1400mAh, but that was years ago so I'm not sure what they're up to now.
1600 I think.

Yup. It's even in stock, which is awesome. This was simply unobtainable a while ago (at least for me).

Well, I guess I'm just gonna buy a couple extra packs of them. I've seen one at 1500mAh. I think that's the biggest currently.
[editline]01:45PM[/editline]
also I think I can make one with 4600mAh, but I'm not sure where to get the connections.
4600mAh will be using the larger size cells, so it won't fit in your gun.

Ohh, I could swear they look the same. Well then, off to buy extra 1100 / 1400 batteries.
KSC/KWA or Tokyo Marui for GBBs? Want some more opinions, especially when I'm gonna be stuck chsirsofting for the next 4 months.
Seems like I'll be doing the same, damn rain never ends.
Anything I need to know about GBB maintenance by the way? I got money for my birthday and bought one.
