Well, I didn't want the scope, and this goes with my BC2 loadout.
If you want a BC2 AUG, go with the A3 and spray paint the body. Or get lucky like I did and buy a spare OD body for $20.
On Topic- Recommend me a helmet. I'm thinking a MICH replica, but I don't know anything about the 2000/2001/2002 differences, etc. Also, Helmet Lights and NVG mounts, that kinda stuff. I'm planning on starting to build a helmet set up, but I don't really know anything about it yet- advice, facepunch? (From earlier post, nobody saw haha)
The main differences from the 2000/01/02 is how much they cover your ears. The 2000 has the most coverage, 2001 is in between the 2000 and 2002, and the 2002 has no ear covers so it can be used with larger headsets. Helmet lights aren't really that useful, at least in gameplay. If you have to work on something in the staging area and its dark, then yes they help. But for gameplay stick with a good gun mounted tac light. NVG mounts are another sort of worthless but cool looking accessory. My MICH 2000 doesn't have one, but my 2002 does. I wanted to build a plate that would attach to my helmet cam so I could slide it onto the NVG mount, but I can't find anywhere showing me how NVG's are mounted, no less give me the dimensions I need to build it. If you don't plan on running a large headset (Comtac, Sordin, etc.) your best bet is probably the MICH 2000. It easily accepts a variety of helmet covers, and offers the most protection over the other models. It's the cheapest too. If you just want a tacticool looking helmet, go with the MICH 2002 with the side rails and NVG mount. With the side rails you can actually mount any RIS compatible accessory to the helmet.
Well, I can't find any on GI. Links?
Thanks Ender, that makes it a lot easier. My only other question is if anyone has any advice on repro helmet brands.
Weapon Blender has helmets with mounts and velcro for $50 I believe. Made of fiberglass too. On a side note, AC-130 flew over my house just now. That's what I get for living next to Central Command.
I think I'm going for the AUG. [editline]08:31PM[/editline] When they say small battery, does that include mini?
I fit a 2000 MAH 9.6 in my AUG. This one specifically. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_47&products_id=3303 It fits but just barely. You really have to force the butt pad on there with that battery.
Does GI have any other AUGs in stock?
Does GI have any other AUGs in stock?
Nope, your best bet is checking overseas retailers such as RSOV.com and others.

Alright, the Shorty is only about 2 inches shorter than the Normal AUG. It could pass as the AUG's carbine. And I'll probably get a suppresor just to offset the short barrel. [editline]09:09PM[/editline] And this would hook up to a Small type connector?

The flash hider gives it a good amount of length so picture it without the flash hider.
Can anyone tell me about the CYMA m1a1? I'm having gun ADD at the moment or the past few weeks really..
Well, regardless, it would still be pretty accurate, right?
Well, regardless, it would still be pretty accurate, right?
At least a M4 length inner barrel on the shorty I would think, full size uses I think a M16 length inner barrel.
Can anyone tell me about the CYMA m1a1? I'm having gun ADD at the moment or the past few weeks really..
Wouldn't buy it. I mean it shoots fine, but it's one of the worse guns when it comes to ergonomics. You shoulder the gun and the barrel is a good inch or more higher that the stock, placing the sights way higher than they need to be. The selector switches are these little rods that you think you're going to snap off whenever you turn them. The mag release is just awkward, period. I've used plenty of different rifles but the thompson mag release just plain sucks. The handguard also feels too far forward to hold it comfortably, so you normally hold it by the mag. I mean it almost feels like the gun was made to be used with the stock under your armpit and just spray and pray.
Do you think I should go for it? And the mini batteries would work I hope?
I mean it almost feels like the gun was made to be used with the stock under your armpit and just spray and pray.
You might as well just get the gangster version and make a mafia loadout in that case.
Do you think I should go for it? And the mini batteries would work I hope?
If you want to give it a shot go ahead. Though I would recommend a paint job later on. The plastic used on the CA AUG shorty is a very glossy plastic, looks cheap. As for batteries, normally only a 8.4v mini or a 9.6v numchuck battery will fit. I had to buy a special sized lipo for mine which just barely fits. On my friend's AUG he simply cut a hole in the butt cover so he could tape the battery to the outside of his gun. Ugly, but it works.
I just went and sent you a PM, hoping you could help. I didn't want to clog up the forums. [editline]11:15PM[/editline] Anyone reccomend iron sights to put on an AUG Shorty?
So, here's my USMC jacket I've had for a couple years. I'm asking if it's good for airsoft. [IMG_thumb]http://imgur.com/x9ua2.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
Yes.
Weapon Blender has helmets with mounts and velcro for $50 I believe. Made of fiberglass too. On a side note, AC-130 flew over my house just now. That's what I get for living next to Central Command.
You sure it's an AC-130, not just a C-130? Did you see the side mounted weapons? I dislike it when people (mostly codfags) mistake C-130s for AC-130s. Also, my gun's accuracy is so bad it's fucking stupid. I'm pretty sure I saw something about accuracy a while back so.....yeah.
It was at night, so I couldn't tell. Since it's Central Command, where both the Iraq, and Afghanistan wars are ran out of, I wouldn't be surprised if there was. There are ten C-130 Transports parked on the runway. I've been seeing a gun mounted one flying around in the day time (probably annual training). Not as cool as the A-10 that sometimes frequents out of there. Still, I know the difference between an AC-130, and a C-130.
I live by OCEANA, so I see F/A-18s, F-22s, F-15s and sometimes F-14s and F-4s and (A)C-130. All this everyday. Several fly over my house each hour.
I plan on purchasing a WE 1911 as my first gas gun. What green/red gas specifically should I buy? I've been reading around and there are mixed reviews for everything I've found.
I've been reading around and there are mixed reviews for everything I've found.
Welcome to Airsoft. [editline]04:53PM[/editline] What pouches would fit AUG magazines?
Welcome to Airsoft. [editline]04:53PM[/editline] What pouches would fit AUG magazines?
A double STANAG pouch only holds one AUG mag. If you want to hold two AUG mags in the same pouch you need a triple STANAG pouch or a double AK mag pouch.

Screw it. All the pouches and the vest cost way too much. I'm just gonna get the Chest Rig and hope it has enough space. [editline]06:32PM[/editline] How much space do they have anyway?
Any thoughts on JG's GBBRs? I don't really need one, it would just be to have. They're like $70.
From what the guys at Blowback Armory told me the cheap GBBR M4's such as AGM and JG aren't really worth the time. You're looking at tossing in a few hundred more dollars to replace the parts with better ones just to keep the gun working.
So my next gun will be a CA M15A4. I'll probably go for the regular X series one, but is blowback really worth the extra $40? [editline]10:55PM[/editline] Oh never mind, it's only mechanical blowback.
