Is the VFC M4 any good?
Rule of thumb. If VFC made it, it is good.
It is the E series. And ok, since I've held them both, and the difference in size seems negligible, I'm thinking about an M4 now, sub-$300. The best one I can find, for the least would be good.

Not really. I've heard some users saying the externals are great, but the internals are just average or worse. Though I can't say for sure since I don't own one.
So what is a good M4 in that price range?
I'm extremely new to this, and I'm looking for a Olive Drab vest and some clothes. I've gotten started here, http://bit.ly/d3dX2w, http://bit.ly/cBlm0Z. Any recommendations for a sub $150 AEG AK-47? It can be plastic and Chinese, I don't care, as long it works.
I live in the US.
Don't get a crossdraw.

The pants are fine.

are a lot better than crossdraws, and cheaper too.

for your ak, or

if you are dead set on the 47 model. Keep in mind though you are going to loose lots of performance with this one.
Get a Dboys AK, they are sexy (I have one therefore they are sexy).
I love your logic.
Fuck, why is GI sold out of all mag box sets?
And if I want a VFC, I'm shit out of luck.
Maybe someone can hook me up with an M4 with a functioning charging handle, and a couple mags for $300?
No automerge?
No, never automerge.

Might as well buy a DBoys M4.
Why? I didn't even know they made one (besides the crappy $60). The ICS M4 looked pretty good, and a review I read was good.
They make decent ones. I mean it's a starter gun, has a functioning charging handle, etc.

Check it out. My old team had the CQB and S-System M4. They functioned nice, shot well, etc.
The FPS seems kinda high. How reliable is it?
China guns generally have high FPS's for whatever reason, just get a weaker spring if you want it to last longer.
The FPS seems kinda high. How reliable is it?
400 FPS is the max for field use.
And they're reliable. Easily upgradable.
The cynic in me doesn't want a clone.

Technically all guns besides TM's are clones seeing as TM made the gearbox. Dboys makes good guns for the price.
True, true. All I want is an M4 that will last, metal preferably, and mags, for $300 or less.

I'm not familiar with American prices but G&G also makes good guns, not metal though.
I know, but I think they lack the functional charging handle, which I think is important.
Why is that important to you? I'm pretty sure they do have one anyway.
Like I said, the DBoy's M$ has a functioning charging handle.
There's no real point, except to show the hop up dial.
G&G has a charging handle that moves, but it doesn't move the dust cover. Personally, this is more convenient to me.
I just think it's pretty cool, and I like the idea, idk, I'd like the Charging Handle to have an actual purpose.

And Identity, they're sold put on GI.
And how is it more convenient.
It's cool but I would rather have a really good gun without it then a worse gun with it.
